Opened on New Year's Eve 1920, Casa Marina Resort is Key West’s original grand resort, and it's just been newly renovated again! Boasting a dramatic 'water walk' that leads to the resort's two largest swimming pools and the largest private beach in Key West, Casa Marina is a tranquil oasis close enough to the action of Duval Street. Ocean View Balcony Rooms offer pool and ocean view rooms from the furnished balcony, with either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

Ocean View Lanai Rooms offer direct access to the ocean and pools from the patio, with either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

This hotel was closed down for six months due to significant renovations. Despite some of the lower reviews, the hotel has had, they have made significant improvements cosmetically. We had four rooms, three booked together but ended up being located all spread out. It was like going to another hotel to get to one of the rooms. Housekeeping NEVER came, even when asked repeatedly. We switched rooms after noticing bugs all over the bathroom floor and near a balcony door in the room. The bathroom door would stick and lock you inside or out and one of the beds had sand in the sheets. We were told more than once they were sending engineering up but they also NEVER came. The second room, one floor down, also had a bathroom door that would stick, a shower door that didn’t close letting water flood all over the floor and one of our “clean” towels had a dried stain that looked like a blood stain . The carpets in the hallways and on the stairs looked like they were never vacuumed. To top it all off, several of the elevators were not functioning the entire week we were there so we had to go literally down several hallways, up some stairs and down others (the stairwell looked like an outdoor garage stairwell), every single time we needed to get to one of the rooms. There were requests for housekeeping on 70% of the doors we walked past constantly. We placed ours and called and had others ask in person as our room had no phone in it. I talked to the front desk several times only to be told someone would correct the problem but absolutely nothing happened. Someone took our door tag off requesting housekeeping and turned it to do not disturb. Housekeeping seemed to be spying on us, 7 hours after the request for housekeeping at the front desk and someone flipped our door tag, housekeeping suddenly appeared when we got to the room. Stayed a week here over July 4th week. Long time Hilton diamond member and booked fully on points. Hate that I used so many points up but would have been really upset if I paid the going rack rate. As another recent reviewer mentions, housekeeping (or lack of) was terrible. At check in I was asked if I wanted daily housekeeping and I said Yes. Day 2 we realized the body was on the wall was empty. Saw the housekeeper at her cart next door to our room as we left for the day and told her. Came back around 4 and room not done, no body wash, etc…. Told front desk on our way back out. Came back from dinner and room finally cleaned but still no body wash. Called down and they sent someone up with a stand alone bottle. That bottle stayed on the floor of the shower our entire stay (as there was nowhere else in the shower it could go). Never filled/replaced the actual wall dispenser day. The next day no housekeeping again. It was around 5 pm and we needed to shower for dinner. I saw housekeeping staff in the hall with a cart and asked if we could just get some new towels and wash clothes as we had left ours on the floor to be replaced. She told me she was out of wash clothes and didn’t offer to go get any…. That night we realized the body lotion was also empty.. didn’t even bother asking we just went to cvs and bought our own. Two days later we yet again had no housekeeping…. They also need more servers for the pool/beach. Seemed like maybe 2 a day covering both pools and the beach. They were friendly but service was slow as they were overwhelmed A few positives at least - 1) front desk staff at check in were helpful and cheerful. 2)the pools are nice and Angel, one of the pool attendants was awesome. 3) It’s nice to have chair service on the beach included in the resort fee. 4) Our room, while not large was decent sized with good decor and comfortable beds. Stay away! This place has the absolute worst service! If you are looking for anything basic such as your room being cleaned, your towels replaced, basic amenities such as conditioner, stay somewhere else. I have been a Hilton member and loyal customer for several years, and this was the first time I have experienced such subpar basic service. The first day our room was not done I called the front desk and they told me I had request for our room to be serviced, I found that odd as there were no signs and we were never told but I took the front desks word for it. I called another party who was with us and asked them if their room was cleaned, they said yes, I asked did you request it, they said no. So on top of the terrible service they tried to lie to cover it up. They came to clean the room while we were at the pool after calling again to request it. They did not refill the conditioner, nor did they give us new disposable coffee cups, of course we don’t realize this until we need them. We call for conditioner, and they passively aggressively leave it on the dresser instead of replacing the bottle that is fixed to the wall. Day 2 of our stay we get back to our room and AGAIN the room is not turned over/cleaned. I have to ask AGAIN for our room to be cleaned while I take the kids to the pool. I come back from the pool and they don’t leave us with even the standard 4 towels we have had throughout the stay… again I need to call down for towels…. And again the conditioner on the wall is not replaced. I have NEVER experienced anything like this…. We asked for late check out which we were told we could check out at noon, they came to disturb us TWICE starting at 10am to clean the room upon check out… this place is a joke! Read less
