Restored to its 1888 glory, and registered in the National Trust Historic Hotels of America, this Moorish castle-like landmark is a very special place to stay. With authentic period features and decor, you really will feel like you have taken a step back into yesteryear. This hotel was the hang-out of aristocracy and royalty; inside, it's all tapestries, velvet and chandeliers, with top-class dining and discreet service. It's in the heart of the Historic District, where you'll find boutiques, antique shops, museums and more. The Poseidon Spa is a great addition to this luxurious hotel and provides the perfect place for some relaxation and pampering. If the hotel itself isn't already enough, you've got access to the private Serenata Beach Club on pristine Ponte Vedra Beach, which is just a 15 minute drive away. Enjoy a day on the beach with your toes in the St Augustine coquina sand, or splashing around in the family pool before an oceanfront dinner.

Thank you Trent, at the front desk for a seamless check-in experience and making sure we were all settled in. Our keys somehow got deactivated and you were quick to resolve the issue. Dinner recommendations were on point- he knows his stuff. I’d ask for him again to just get more information.
While waiting for our food delivery in the early hours of the morning in the lobby, we had some great chat with the bellman, Security Manager, and the Front desk Bob. They were all very knowledgeable of hotel history and were willing to chat while we waited. We were given waters, and even accommodated for a late check out which was a very nice effort! They shared information on a tour and we are looking forward for it tomorrow!
We can’t wait to return again in the future!
Happy Halloween!

Casa Monica Resort & Spa in St. Augustine is a stunning blend of luxury and historic charm. The spacious rooms are beautifully decorated, and the on-site spa is a perfect retreat. With a prime location near attractions and attentive staff, it’s an ideal spot for relaxation and exploration. Highly recommended!

We were greeted and brought up to our room by John Hoot. Absolutely white glove service. Great first impression. The hotel itself looks stunning and we are excited to get out and continue exploring. Our infant son was brought up a baby crib as well. Excited for our stay.

We didn't have any specific plans, but it was our anniversary. We had been to the Casa Monica for our anniversary years ago, so we decided to try it again.
Although we arrived without any reservations, the agent at the front desk, Nardia, took the time to show us two different types of rooms so we could choose. The standard room may have been sufficient, but since it was torrential rain that day we decided on the premium room (with a sitting area) and mostly stayed inside. And since it was raining, they even gave us a book to read.
After that, we visited the concierge to ask about places to go for our anniversary dinner. After showing us the menus for various places, she made reservations for us and gave us a card to present to the management at the restaurant.
After dinner - A tray had been delivered to our room with a large hand-written card, "Happy Anniversary" from the front desk, accompanied by a chilled bottle of... something bubbly.
In the morning we had breakfast in the restaurant in the lobby, the Cordova. Good food, excellent service.
That was our experience, keen attention to detail. Some may find it otherwise. For example:
We specifically asked for a quiet room. We were on the second floor, on the King Street side of the building. There's traffic noise up until about 11 at night, and then starting up again at about 7 in the morning. In other words, about normal for a town; not crazy noisy, but not remarkably quiet either.
More bothersome was that the phone on the night table had a red LED light that was really bright. I turned the phone so that it was pointing in the other direction, shielded it with a pillow, and finally just slept in the middle of the king sized bed.
But all in all, it was a great getaway for a wedding anniversary.
