We stayed here approximately 17 years ago and stayed here again for a week in November. We had a great experience with clean, updated rooms and friendly staff. Our housekeeper did an excellent job each day of refreshing our room, and all staff members were very polite and friendly that we encountered. I wish they had turn down service, but that is not part of the amenities at this hotel. We used the gym which was very clean and nice and cool. One day we rented a cabana by the ocean, which was a great way to spend the day. We also dined two nights at Tidepools and both experiences were excellent. A shoutout to Adrian who was on the evening shift out front in the portico and always gave us recommendations for dinner. The car service was a nice perk, and the drivers were friendly and did a great job. The hiking trail Maha’ulepu Heritage Trail is right by this resort; I hiked this almost every day that I was there and it was the best! There are spectacular views off of the cliffs, and you can see a few sea turtles swimming too. Read less

The grounds are very beautiful and it's so peaceful. We had club access, so we had some meals there. The breakfast was awesome! The lunch/snack/dinner in my opinion was still nice, but not as filling as breakfast. We did not try the dessert at the club. We also had a meal at the lounge area where there is a live performer for dinner. That was great too. The tempura basket was honestly enough to feed 3 people comfortably. I don't have a single complaint about this place. Pool and gym I was told was 24 hours! That's pretty rare from the places I've been. There's a beautiful beach walk area, with swinging benches that overlooks the water. Read less

Very nice stay although we will probably wait until there is a refresh before coming back. The pros - the location and the people are simply the best. Can't be beat. Coreen at the front desk is great but everyone on property are terrific. The cons - it is starting to look worn. Carpets, etc. But mostly? The beds, the mattresses are just worn and… Read more

Coreen at the front desk is great but everyone on property are terrific. The cons - it is starting to look worn. Carpets, etc. But mostly? The beds, the mattresses are just worn and at this point, it's a deal breaker for us. Neither I not my wife had a restful night's sleep out of the whole week we were there. We don't mind paying top rates when we travel around the world - we love traveling. But if we can't get a good night's sleep, why would we leave home? Read less

We have retuned four or five times over the past ten or fifteen years. It is truly one of our favorite places on Earth. The property is beautifully landscaped and maintained. The labyrinth of pools is great for adults and kids alike. And the food and drink is top notch as far as I’m concerned. You won’t regret it.
