Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort

Daytona Beach, Gold Coast Beaches

Virgin rating

The hotel

The only thing between this hotel and Daytona Beach is its fabulous shore-side pool deck. Looking out over the ocean, it stretches down to a handful of steps that lead you directly onto Florida’s most famous sands. It’s a view that’s also captured while you’re dining on seafood specialities at Doc Bale’s Grill, tucking into street food inspired dishes at The Blind Turtle, and enjoying at tipple or two at McCoys Rum Room and Waves Beach Bar. But it’s not all sun, sea, and sand at Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort — you'll also love the gym, spa, and prime location among the shops and entertainment of Ocean Walk Village.

Chris was our bellman and he was so polite. We have a lot of bags between the 3 of us but he was very nice insisting that he grab all of our bags. It was busy so while we waited for valet to bring around our car he chatted with us. He was very professional and friendly. Yuri in the hotel bar was a really fun and real person, his margaritas were best I have ever tasted! Hundreds of points for friendliness and drinks! From Yuri we got the famous Southern Hospitality mixed to the Brazilian origins. We can recommend Hilton Oceanside and especially Yuri with full hearts.

We went on a family beach trip and we were surprised (not in a good way) at the state of the hotel especially for the price per night. Cons: - Rooms and hallways are very dated and in desperate need of renovation ie: there are leak stains on the ceiling, the furniture looks to have come from a yard sale 30 years ago, the couch is stained in multiple places, the carpet is stained, the baseboards are disgusting and marked up, metal fixtures are rusted. - No microwave in the room. - The room "refrigerator" is barely big enough to hold 3-4 bottles of water, it's more like a cooler which is also sitting on the floor. - Pools are small and dated as well. - The bed is absolutely awful!!! Like an old spring mattress you'd find in a 1950s motel. Left our backs hurting and got little to no sleep. There is also a sunken in spot in the mattress so you end up feeling like your climbing up hill all night. - Rooms are small. - The bathroom in our room doesn't have a fan so when you're showering it gets really humid and foggy which is likely the reason for the black mold spots on the ceiling. - Housekeeping is severely lacking. Hairs including pubic hairs were found all over the "clean" towels and in the supposedly freshly "cleaned" shower/bathroom. - Bed sheets were stained with God knows what. - Parking is horrendous. You get to park across the road in an old, pot-hole filled parking lot that has no security then walk all the way up to the hotel carrying all your bags. Oh and you get charged for it. I guess you could always wait a mile down the road that goes in front of the hotel just to get to go thru the drive thru that's in front of the lobby but you'd be waiting a while. - Hallways are filthy, to the point where there were spiderwebs, a dead frog, and dead moths in the windows. - The hallway outside our room has old, dated wall lamps you'd expect to find in Disney's Haunted Mansion. Pros: - The hotel is beach front. - That is all, no other pros. Read less

Excellent room, great location on the beach. Melissa and Shane at Don Ricos are amazing very friendly and had a ton of info about things to do in the area! Food was perfect and the bar had a great selection. Valet is a little rough around 4-5 but everything else was great, pools, beach friendly staff!
