We chose this hotel specifically for the larger rooms. We came with 2 adults and 3 teens. We need a bigger space than a normal hotel room allows for. We had a full kitchen which was great. I loved the champagne on check in, Nice touch! However, the place is crowded. I also didn't like that the hotel becomes a pass through for the general public. They are all filtered through the hotel which created a busy environment. We noticed people who were not guests in the pool several times. We saw security remove people several times. That made me feel a little unsafe. I love that they give you a key to wear around your wrist. Easy access for us, but we had to go down several times to get them reprogrammed because they would just stop working. The pool restaurant was meh. The drinks are not strong. They make the drink and add the alcohol to the top of the drink. Not worth the $16-$20. I went across the street and got liquor to keep in the room. Much more cost effective. Lots of wonderful places to eat around the hotel. Lots of really good food in the area. Clearwater is like high rise after high rise on the water. Not my fave. Won't go back. I like a more quaint, less busy environment. But we made some wonderful family memories. Also Florida is hotter than hell in July. My kids could do things in the morning, but after about noon they were not able to function in the heat. And the pool isn't so big, so some days it just felt like people soup in there. Easy to find a chair at the pool though. We never had an issue with that. Watch out for extra fees. Resort fee, parking fee, fee to rent chairs on the beach, fee if you don't return your towel card. The gym. This was important for me. Its small. It had 3 pelotons but two of them required the shoes that clip in, and the other one wasn't working. Sad about that. Instead I did early morning beach runs. If you go, you will have a good time, you just need to prepare yourself for the heat, the cost, and the people. Read less

We stayed here over fourth of july weekend. The beach access was wonderful. The view was spectacular. The pool is ok. It isn't large and doesn't get a lot of air circulation based on the shape of the hotel. We had a kitchen, and with lots of restaurants in walking distance we didn't eat at the hotel.

After paying in full for the trip we were met upon check in with an additional $575 resort fee that wasn’t discussed anywhere in our booking through Expedia. We rented a car at Tampa Airport and found out at check in that they charge their overnight guests the same $36 per day to park as they do people using the garage for public beach access. So parking was more expensive than the actual car rental. Beach is nice and hotel itself is clean and accommodating. Restaurants in the area were also good and some had decent live music. Overall it was a nice vacation but a bit overpriced when you factor in the parking and resort fee. Read less
