It was wonderful and memorable stay. Had a great ambiance in the room to celebrate my milestone birthday. All the restaurants, Spa, shops and the Animals in the resort were excellent. Totally made it above and beyond than what was expected from the website while planning my trip.

Food: Overall good for a resort and no issues. We had club lounge access and that was helpful in keeping costs down. Japengo was really good.
Property: Exceptional property and has lots to do. Clean. Currently undergoing renovations to pool area and penguin enclosure.
Pool - Pool is great and large, however the renovation does take away from the appeal. It separates the pool into two separate areas and you have to walk from outside to go to the kids side. If this was connected, it would be great. In addition, they state that renovation will be complete in Mid December, I really doubt that they will meet this deadline. Slides are really fun and my daughter really enjoyed them.
Overall - a great property with an excellent staff. Hope to visit there in the future.

A special thank you to vip manager Connor Mowat, all of the staff in the Regency Club lounge( Gloria,Lisa, Sandy, Sharla to name a few ) Kim and Jeff at registration, and every employee who shared the Aloha spirit.
Ocean view rooms are spectacular. We love the LaHaina Tower which is close to the Regency Club for globalist members. There is construction currently happening at the resort, but we thorough enjoyed our 10 days .Mahalo

The hotel was under major construction, which was only briefly alluded to on the website. It was not just minor work in one area of the hotel, it affected the entire resort, we were unable to swim in any of the pools every morning because jackhammers were going all morning long - nothing says relaxation like loud construction noise…. you couldn’t even swim underwater because the noise was so loud and above water it was just as bad.
We came to see the wildlife and nature, my kids were really excited about seeing the penguins and birds, but all of the wildlife exhibits were closed - no fish, no penguins, no parrots, no wildlife university, which was not detailed on the website either. The kids were extremely disappointed as was I.
There was essentially no where to swim in the resort where you could avoid construction noise and disruption. The main slide was also closed for three of the five days that we were there, for construction as well. There was a strong smell of cement and a lot of cement dust during the day, we couldn’t eat at the Japanese restaurant because the smell was so bad. The beach in front of the resort is completely eroded so in order for us to get any time in the water we had to walk up the beach in extremely hot weather with two small kids just so they could swim, and to get away from the extremely loud construction going on all day long.
Management should be ashamed of themselves. We paid more than $900/night for an extremely unsatisfactory experience. When I complained they said that they didn’t realise the construction would be going on this long. I said I had only booked my hotel at the last minute, and they should’ve been a lot more accountable and transparent for the level of disruption that was being caused by the construction, and should not be selling rooms in a hotel where any recreation was basically inaccessible and there was zero relaxation to be had. Shame on you Hyatt. This was my first family trip as a solo parent, and I truly wish I had saved my time and money and taken my sweet kids somewhere else.
