This visit to Jamaica was planned to be all rest and relaxation, no tours, excursions or adventures. Just a chance to relax, enjoy each other and the resort. Mission accomplished. 1. STAFF……BEYOND GREAT. Each member greeted us with smiles, a helpful spirit and warmth. Every one of them. Thank you to Leonardo at the front desk, Felicia, Michaela in the Spa who gave my wife a wonderful massage. Room service staff were helpful, housekeeping was great. Our room was spacious as we were upgraded to a junior suite with a beautiful ocean view. (Room 4403)…request it! 2. FOOD…Very good with the only exception surprisingly being the buffet option. At other all-inclusive, the buffet is usually enormous, vibrant and with so many choices. This buffet seems so off brand for this resort. It was dank, depressing, minimal choices, barely a salad to be had. It needs to be greatly improved. Other options were all very good from the Jerk Chicken hut to Calypso for a wonderful lunch of pasta and a very good salad bar. Room service truly came through as I was not feeling well and we had a few meals in-room. Orders arrived quickly, hot and tasty. The coffee shop in Zika was very good as was the lobby coffee shop/bakery which featured finger-sized desserts, all kinds of coffees and juices as well as very good sandwiches. 3. Drinks…plentiful, tasty and readily available. Beach service was paced well and this was also true poolside. 4. Beach…first section closest to Zilara proved a little rough for us as well as a rocky bottom (possibly hurricane aftermath), so we move down two sections to where there is an enormous stone breakwater which calms the water and has a fully Sandy bottom. Plenty of lounges as well as shaded areas. Water was gorgeous in all,it’s colors and warmth. 5. POOL…lots of fun. Loud at times, based on music or DJ…it is a very large pool on the Zilara side with plenty of nooks and crannies to get away from any crowds. Swim up bar was fun as well. One note of advice….my wife is very often confined to her wheelchair when going for distances. NONE of the doors into or out of common areas have an ADA button which would automatically open the doors. This proved to be a struggle as I would have to juggle opening and holding doors while trying at the same time to get my wife and her chair through it. This should be addressed and updated. Thank you for a wonderfully relaxing stay. Joel & Rosalie…Delray Beach, Florida. Read less
