In a secluded bay, overlooking a beach regarded as the most beautiful on Phuket, this is certainly an idyllic holiday choice. Soft golden sand to glide along, sunsets to admire, and, of course, beautiful accommodation, ranging from Junior Suites to those set back amongst trees and tropical flowers. Pampering pursuits include a full-service spa and a beauty salon, ensuring you look and feel your best. As well as lots of sports activities you can get involved in more cultural endeavours, take a Thai cooking class and learn how to carve those fancy fruit decorations or enjoy a workout whilst learning the art of Thai boxing. Finally, a word about those restaurants, there are several to choose from, serving Thai and Western delights for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There’s also La Scala for Italian cuisine and light music, plus several beach bars for an enticing tropical cocktail!

Phuket paradise!

Really impressed with this resort! It is huge which might not suit everyone but for a family is ideal. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly, especially to our baby and went above and beyond to put a smile on her face. Really impressed with this resort! It is huge which might not suit everyone but for a family is ideal. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly, especially to our baby and went above and beyond to put a smile on her face. We stayed in the Thani wing which I’d recommend as it’s literally on the beach, perhaps the Bhuri wing more suitable for young kids as close to the water park and playground etc. Great breakfast, lovely Thai dinner, we didn’t eat in any of the other restaurants. Grounds are impeccably manicured and pools galore to choose from! It definitely felt quiet in the evenings so if you’re looking for loads of atmosphere then probably not for you but it’s well situated to all the local bars and restaurants. Special shout out to Iyud one of the security guards who was particularly friendly! All in all, a fabulous experience.

No bars with music except for The Tree House a couple of nights a week a duo sing there and brighten up the place. There is a wonderful waiter there his name is Bill (his nick name ) he is excellent at his job he try’s to make his customers very welcome and goes out of his way to make your evening pleasant. He is an asset to The Katathani Resort we give him 100% for service he should be the manager.
The restaurants in the hotel complex are ok but the wine is over priced and they rush you out very quickly. We had a awful dinner at the Thai restaurant it wasn’t nice at all. I wouldn’t say they go out of their way to exert themselves in most of the restaurants you’re generally just a number. Some staff are very nice but not all of them. I think they are very lazy and can sometimes be quite abrupt.
Though I have given a few negatives we possibly may come back again but it needs to offer its guests more to make their vacation more vibrant. It’s a little dull. By 9:30 it’s bed time.
Breakfast is plentiful it’s amazing watching some guests filling there plates with piles of bacon, fruit, etc and taking it to their table and emptying it into plastic containers so they can eat it for the whole day long.

Pillows are hard
Room was loud
As right next to the elevator
Til 2am in the morning .
And room smelt bad
We had a poor experience .
Checked it out early
Returned back to Australia
Do know if we would return to the katathani again .
Also not many activities near the pool
Magnificent Katathani

From the time we arrive till the time leave, we are treated like family & enjoy everyday we are there - the staff are friendly & keen to have a chat which is comforting.
The amenities are superb & the dining experiences are as diverse as the menus - all delicious
Relaxing oasis, huge resort, isolated from hustle and bustle
