I am a business traveler who frequents the Delfina and have over the past 5+ years. The location is superb but the service is amazing. Hugo the concierge makes you feel like family and is quick to help with anything you need (check bag, H20, etc!

We, a family of 4 recently spent a wonderful week (8 days) at Hotel Delfina Santa Monica, and I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Santa Monica, just a short walk from the beach and the Santa Monica Pier. Also just 10-15 minutes walk from the Santa Monica Downtown area with lots of shops and restaurants. The rooms are very comfortable. The beds are medium soft (perfect for us), and the interior is tastefully decorated. We reccommend getting a room with ocean view if available. Sitting on the balcony in the evening with a coffee and a view to the Pacific was nice. The hotel has a really nice pool area, with clean towels always available. Pool is small, but big enough for a dip when needed. The gym is quite well-equipped and open 24 hours a day. Didn't use it though :-) There is also free Wi-Fi, which works, but needed frequent reconnection. Not a problem though. There is no breakfast buffet, but the 'American Breakfast' had a lot of options, and was delicious. The hotel has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, making the stay very pleasant. There was also a good mix of families, couples, and business travelers. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always available to answer questions or provide recommendations. Check-in and check-out were quick and smooth. And the best tip: If you have any questions about the hotel, rental cars, restaurants what to see...contact the concierge Hugo. He is the best, and can help with almost anything. If we take the trip back to Los Angeles again, we would choose the same hotel. Read less

Really nice hotel. Stayed there for 4 nights. Nice pool, gym and gaming room (biljard, shuffleboard and so on). The room were fine and the cleaning good. You can lend bikes which I recommend. The restaurant wasn’t the funniest. Poor breakfast and pretty expensive for what you got. Tracy in the hotel reception was super friendly and service minded.

We’ve been staying here for probably 10 years. The staff are just terrific especially Jimmy, Hugo and Alex who always remember us and that just makes all the difference. We appreciate how quiet and clean the hotel is as well as the loaner bikes are all in excellent condition and truly make each stay memorable as we love riding up and down the beach walk to Venice/Marina Del Rey and Santa Monica. The hotel has great little amenities like coffee service in the morning and free sparkling wine each day. Water bottles, locks and towels for the bikes also are appreciated. The hotel probably will need some updating soon as it is starting to show physical wear and tear with scratched up walls, so-so pillows and slightly tired rooms but the staff more than make up for that by being so kind and helpful and sweet. It means a lot that Jimmy, Hugo and Alex have probably worked there 20 years each. Viviana was helpful when we swapped rooms for one with a slightly different configuration. We appreciated her too! Lastly, parking used to be free and is now something like $65 a night. If you are game to walk two blocks parking is $12-$16 a night at the advice Center and the meters are free on holidays and overnight so skip the overpriced parking. We will continue to stay here when we come to Santa Monica and we’re so grateful for this most recent visit! Read less
