The hotel

A combination of two different Art Deco hotels that date back to the 1930s, Ocean Five is an unpretencious hotel that's well located for all Miami attractions. Family run with a laid-back atmosphere, guest rooms boast all the essential facilities - and you might want to upgrade to a Studio to make use of the kitchen facilities. There's a restaurant on site featuring outside terrace tables and garden lounge, and plenty of top-notch restaurants in the immediate area to take advantage of, as well as some very hip nightlife for those keen to party into the early hours! Set at the slightly quieter end of Ocean Drive, with South Beachjust across the road, is a wonderful place to laze away the day.

Located on Ocean Drive, in the SoFi (South of Fifth) area; with beaches, shops, restaurants and bars all within easy reach. Driving time from Miami International Airport: 25 minutes.

Standard Rooms with either 1 or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

Studio Rooms, located in the Annex Building, feature a kitchen with dual stovetop, microwave and refrigerator; and either 1 or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

This place is NASTY. We slept in a bed on the floor that is made for a 3 year old. I am a grown a_ _ women with a grown _ _ husband. At this point THROW THE MOTEL AWAY. This is not a HOTEL. Absolutely unbelievable how horrible this place is. I FELT DIRTY!!!!!😡

The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. The location was great! The hotel was rundown but was generally clean. This was a good place to spend just one night after our cruise. Overall this was a decent budget hotel to stay for a short time.

We had a room at the front, which is a bit noisy but not intrusively so - and the other rooms are quieter. I think the big tour operators use it, particularly at the beginning or end of cruises, and I can see why Recommend particularly if you want to be very close to Ocean Drive but not in the middle of the hustle. Very disappointed. The hotel was very misleading to say the least. The pictures were not as shown the room was disgusting dirty, stains, cockroaches. The entire place smelled of mildew. In order to get into the hotel we had to pass through a dining area of a restaurant which was very awkward and uncomfortable. We checked out 2 hours after we checked in.
