Honolulu, Oahu

Virgin rating

The hotel

Enjoy spectacular all-oceanfront accommodation and world-class service at the Hawaii Prince Hotel, one of Waikiki’s most desirable addresses! Boasting floor-to-ceiling windows, panoramic views of the Ala Wai Yacht Harbour and Pacific Ocean are second to none – make sure you’re around at sunset, because they get pretty breathtaking around here! What’s really unique about this stunning hotel is the five-story base that this hotel sits on which is home to restaurants, an open-air lounge, lobby, shops, everything you need for the perfect holiday. If you’re a golf enthusiast, things get even better – the 27-hole course set on Oahu’s sunny Ewa Plain, is the only one of its kind in Hawaii. Enjoy a complimentary shuttle service to and from it courtesy of the hotel and a meal at the Bird of Paradise restaurant, open for lunch and cocktails. If you’d rather be pampered, a trip to the Yamano Day Spa is recommended, specialists in ‘aesthetics’, this relaxation technique will chase any lingering cares away! Dining is varied with plenty of options on offer, kick-starting in Reef Lounge perhaps – Waikiki’s newest contemporary lounge serving great martinis.

Last minute booking. It was good value and experience for the 1 bedroom king suite. Stayed for business. Did not get to use the amenities this time around. The 100 Sails breakfast buffet was well priced, convenient, service was good, and overall tasty.

The large windows offered breathtaking views, making our stay even more memorable. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the hotel, which was definitely worth it. The pool area was a great added perk, although we did wish the hot tub was a bit larger. The service was outstanding throughout our stay, further enhancing our experience. A nice touch was the thoughtful addition of slippers, which we really appreciated. Overall, we highly recommend Prince Waikiki to anyone visiting the area! Read less

I have stayed at the Ritz Carlton many times, but this hotel beats them hands down! We had a couple of small issues, nothing major, but they were dealt with so quickly that it felt as though maintenance was waiting right outside our door. As an Event chair, I only received very positive comments about the event. Throughout the whole process, Banquet Manager, Ben Tran handled my requests very expeditiously..... even when he was on vacation overseas. On the day of our event, he was there early to ensure that everything was set up to my expectations and for last minute requests. Special kudos also to Savanna Diorec, Catering and Conference Coordinator who impressed me with the amenities from the very beginning when I was still considering several venue for my event!! Banquet captain Tim and his staff who attended to our event that evening were top notch! They were very efficient and courteous despite the large turnout. We had about 230 people that attended that evening. The first half of our event was a little shorter than expected and thanks to Tim and his staff, they swiftly served the appetizer at a moment's notice and entre 20 mins earlier than expected. As a result, the guests were happy that they didn't have to wait for their meal to be served. Compliments to the chef - the ribeye was done perfect!! The cut of meat was very tender, juicy and very flavorful! The temperature of the meat was perfect when served to the guests. Even the vegetarian entree was very well prepared. I can't begin to express my gratitude to the entire staff. As an event organizer, I had reconfirmed everyone's orders but inadvertently, there were still last minute requests to switch entrees. I also realize that there was another event happening at an adjacent ballroom and I truly appreciate that the chef and the captain was able to accommodate these late requests so very graciously. Last but not least.....Even the selection of drinks offered and the bar staff were excellent. Banquet Manager, Ben had recommended The Unschackled Cabernet Sauvignon as the special wine to be served to our VIPs and sponsor tables. Needless to say, it was also the excellent choice to compliment the ribeye. Needless to say, the overall experience, service and the menu deserves a 6-star (or a Diamond) rating and I will definitely recommend my friends/business contacts to Ben Tran. I will consider hosting another event at the Prince Waikiki Hotel. A very Big Mahalo to all the hotel staff that helped to make the Mandarin Ball event a very memorable event and huge success!!
