The hotel

Anyone can stay on a beach in Mauritius — but the prime location of Radisson Blu Azuri Resort & Spa will make your stay that extra bit special. Set on a sweep of lagoon-washed sand, the resort is also framed by preserved mangroves. In the marine village of Azuri, you get to immerse yourself in the cosmopolitan village life and experience the beach and island activities all rolled into one. Passionate about design and attention to detail, the resort offers contemporary interiors, such as an inviting lobby with iconic shell chandeliers, oversized headboards in spacious guest rooms and many more. Guests always stay connected with complimentary WIFI throughout the hotel, including the beach. Of course some things reflect the ‘pure beach retreat’, like your balcony or terrace; the ocean and infinity pool option among its four restaurants and bars; and the al fresco activities like water sports, sunrise beach yoga, and mangrove kayak safaris. Guests have also access to activities and restaurants (with credit) at the adults-only sister hotel Radisson Blu Poste Lafayette Resort & Spa with the 'Blu Passport Concept' — a unique offering full hotel interchangeability with complimentary inter hotel transfer to enhance your holiday.

We are currently coming to the end of our stay which had a challenging start but can honestly say, we had an amazing time and the hotel is an excellent choice to stay in Mauritius. This was due to the efforts of Vinay who makes it his mission to ensure you are looked after. Very professional and passionate about his job and the hotel he represents. Vinay went out of his way to ensure we (and everyone else at the hotel) had a great experience and goes that extra mile to represent the hotel to the highest standard. Don’t be surprised when he remembers your name and room number. It’s not just yours he remembers, he remembers everyone somehow and it’s that personal touch that makes you feel special. Radisson, make sure you look after Vinay as this hotel and Radisson need him!!! There are other hard working and very friendly staff members. We were all inclusive and have travelled to many all inclusive hotels where the food can become boring after a few days. Not here, always a great variety and the restaurants are a must to visit (all within all inclusive). My wife is gluten free and it’s hard enough to eat in UK whereas here, the chef met with her every meal time and pointed out what she could and could not have. They often made meals just for her and it never felt like any trouble. It’s these little things that make a holiday special. Great hotel with friendly staff, led by an expert in Vinay. Don’t ever lose Vinay, Radisson, he cares about your brand. Read less

We had our 3yrs old granddaughter with us and she absolutely had a great time. Can I say the Guest Relations Manager Vinay was amazing and dealt with all our needs efficiently, nothing was too much. Ramesh and Vinod were the restaurant managers who went out of their way with dietary needs. Prince and Atish were always happy to help. I will definitely be recommending this Hotel and will go again. The place is beautiful. Read less

We chose the Radisson Blue Azuri hotel in Mauritius for a family holiday which included multiple family celebrations. I can say that this was the best choice we could have made; the hotel staff overall were absolutely fantastic and amazing. The hotel is very good with generous size rooms, which are kept impressively clean, indeed housekeeping are on it, the moment you request something. They are really attentive. The swimming pools are good and heated. The availability of Sun beds is good both pool side and on the beach. The main restaurant offers good food which is based on local dishes, however if you speak to the restaurant managers/ chefs they will cater for reasonable requests. A special mention goes to Vinod and Ramesh, both managers, the main restaurant. The waiters Atish and Josh also get a mention for attention to detail! There are another 4 restaurants on offer which have excellent quality of food and notably are also used by local Mauritian folks which is a good sign, we used the Black Rock, the 9th Hole and the pizza restaurant, which were great! Now a special mention and gold award goes, to a man who has the hotel ethos running through his veins, Vinay Koomar, the guest relations manager. This man is fantastic and nothing is a problem. He is attentive and listens, and fixes problems for all guests! He’s hospitality is second to none. Unfortunately for me, I suffered a significant injury whilst on an excursion and had it not been for Vinay, I do not know what I would have done. He personally assisted in providing specialist advice, liaison and service in resolving my predicament, with local medical clinics and other organisations. The injury required me to stay beyond my normal booking and even though the hotel was full he made special arrangements and extended our stay at the hotel. To say this man is exceptional is an understatement! I would absolutely go back to this hotel! Following my injury and poor state, I had personal attention from the restaurant managers, Vinay and the Operations Manager Satish. Spent thanks also go Prince who really looked after us in our time of need! The only feedback about improvement would be the reception staff who are completely disconnected with the rest of the hotel! If you need something talk to the managers directly who are all visible and accessible at all times. Read less
