I’d like to recommend this magical destination and resort. NOTHING is owed! Some say it’s a a special place with white sand beaches, blue skies, a full stock bar, fine dining, clear oceans, and generously praise its snorkeling. Though all this and more is very true, yet I can’t begin to express my gratitude to the staff of this luxury resort who made our experience even better. I Love People, and that itself did everything for me. I was treated like the Queen I am. Lots of memories made, cultivated some genuine and resourceful connections, and that feeling of calmness still lingers as I type. Definitely a place to seek some relaxation, and reconnect with your inner self Read less

Our room was cleaned by Mohammed he did an exceptional job and took pride in his work. The island is beautiful and you have everything you need. Now the best bit, we cannot thank all the staff enough. What a fantastic team you have at Rui Palace. We were taken care of so well and everyone became our friends. They really do want you to have the best time and they are always welcoming. Shamee and his entire team are so sweet and attentive, we really enjoyed our conversations and felt like they went beyond and above in the heat but still smiling. The restaurant team worked super hard and again so lovely and welcoming, remembering your drinks and always topping up your drinks. The food was AMAZING hats off to the chefs, we enjoyed every meal and with the restaurants on the island we were fully satisfied. Very good food and again all so Welcoming and helpful. We wouldn’t hesitate to return. The musicians and singers were awesome and we really enjoyed our evenings after dinner chilling to the music. The snorkling was a bit hit and miss but once you work out the best places and time of day you can be in for a treat, we were lucky to snorkel around our villa and swim near stingrays, sharks and tropical large fish. In the shallow areas around the beach we finally met our local turtle and all the beautiful coral and smaller fish just watch those currents. We had room 47 and it was the best room going with the sun all day and open ocean. Read less

- Check-in desk: Dhanuka, front office manager, was absolutely unprofessional and rude. These were not the standards one would expect from a 5 star hotel. Our vacation was amazing until the last day when that man ruined it. We really wanted to come back, but after experiencing such an attitude I doubt it. Nargiza from reception on the contrary was really helpful and great. - Restaurants: Ersa trainee from Bali was very sweet and attentive. Overall, waiters and even chefs at Riu Palace side were really nice. Food is good, but it would be better if there was bigger variety of fish and fruits. - Cleanliness: Sometimes the sheets were dirty. - Activities: I really enjoyed paddle yoga. Overall, there is always something to do at the hotel. - Riu Palace 5* and Riu Atoll 4* comparison: during our 5-nights stay we stayed at both hotels and we can tell you with certainty that Riu Atoll is much better than Riu Palace. Yes, the food is sometimes better at Riu Palace, but the rest is better at Riu Atoll. So you should keep that in mind when making a reservation. The only good thing I can tell about Riu Palace apart from slightly better food is that if you stay at land villa, you will be able to do snorkeling as there are beautiful coral reefs 1 meter away from the beach. And if you don’t want to do snorkeling and want to simply enjoy the beach, then Riu Atoll is a better option for you. - Guests safety: my husband was almost swept away by strong current into the open ocean. Luckily, the guests and hotel employees came on time to help us. It’s not safe to stay in water villas of Riu Palace, and at check-in desk no one ever warned us that it’s not safe to swim in the afternoon, it is only safe to do it in the morning. Why paying much more for much less value then? When we stayed in water villa at Riu Atoll, we didn’t have such a problem. We could swim during the whole day except for the night time. Water villas of Riu Atoll are located perfectly, they are secluded and I can’t tell the same about Riu Palace water villas. Hope that future guests will find this review helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Read less

Even though we had lots of issues with the transfer team which for me was the only downside but I couldn’t rate the service lower because the service from the other staff, specially the ones at the bar (sanju, desi) were exceptional and made our whole stay more enjoyable. The room cleanings could be better and even the most basic amenities weren’t the greatest, such as having slippers, a good shampoo and conditioner, or even having regular liquid hand wash, but nothing could have ruin the overall experience that was unbelievably good. It was very pleasant and nice stay. We enjoyed the island and the resort, everything was great. Only thing I am not satisfied about is that when I booked stay for us, I mentioned it’s our honeymoon, but obviously no one read it and mentioned it at any moment of our stay. I was expecting more. The rest was fine.
