We were upset at first with the changes that Rixos has done since taking over the Hilton, and the fact that there were lots of building works going on prohibiting us from using some facilities or restaurants - but I will have to say that after our disappointment we couldn’t of been happier with how the staff were towards us, and I would like to comment on certain particular staff that we found very helpful. - Faruk and Islam from the international dining area - Shazit and his manager from the beverage/cocktail area - Arish and his colleagues from the Sol Bar - Omish and his team from the Sunset Bar - Oswell and Mohammed from the sports organization - Sumit and his cleaning team - and the team from Toco Lomo In fact every member of staff from the gardeners, to beach staff to the top management that we came across were extremely professional, courteous and polite. We enjoyed our holiday very much. Having said that it is with regret that we will probably be trying somewhere else as the Hotel Rixos is changing the way that they want the Hotel to become, which is more for children and entertainment. So it’s great if you want that! But not for us anymore sadly! Read less

The GOOD - well designed, spotless resort with pristine pools and beach. Plenty lifeguards. Rooms spacious with great bathroom and beautifully serviced, our special thanks to Emran, who looked after our every need in housekeeping, and Captain Waiter Faruk at breakfast who was a lovely man and ran a very tight ship. All staff without exception even maintenance men and gardeners are friendly helpful and efficient. The beach and sea are immaculate and love that no beds can be reserved, but no need as endless supply of clean towels, beds and parasols which are plentiful and in great order. The new spa is lovely and there is a decent gymn, both of which which we made good use of. Good pilates and yoga classes in mornings too. The AVERAGE...buffet is rather average though always fresh and staff helpful, but on account of sheer size and number of young families was a bit like a school canteen, but to be fair we are a middle aged couple so opted to alternate between the 2 a la carte restaurants. We preferred the Oriental serving Turkish food as it was at other end of the long beach/resort away from awful loud music of main stage. Both restaurants had lovely atmospheres and nice singers/musicians playing appropriate low key smooth jazz type music, sadly poorToro Loco singers were drowned out by main stage awful loud beat music, but the staff were lovely and did their best with nice food in both restaurants, though very limited menus which got a bit repetitive over 10 days when we didn't want to do buffet. The adults only bar above Toro Loco is very nice again staff lovely. The BAD...Oh dear the loud booming 'music' on the stage by main pool, which goes on and off during the day and then from ca 5pm til 11pm it completely ruins this otherwise lovely family and couples resort. The type of music and volume is not even appropriate ..what are management thinking?!!! It is in no way suitable for your target market and completely ruins an otherwise well priced lovely resort located on a pristine beach. Sadly won't be back on account of the eidiculous level noise...shame. Read less
