All of the umbrellas are MOLDED every last one of them, food is HORRIBLE they run out of everything. We went to there steak house, my husband wanted a rib eye made medium well. Honey it was presented CHARD he was disgusted after waiting 45minutes for our dinner. I DO NOT RECMMEND THIS RESORT!!! any and all negative comments are true. The women at the Buffet lack customer service with the exception of 3 and that may be to many. Stay away from any rooms on the 2nd floor room 10-6011 was mold FREE .Ohhhh bring your own wash cloths they only provide 2 during check in. When you request more they will there washing them. My husband and I were excited to celebrate his 40th birthday in Antigua at the Royalton Autograph. The property was beautiful and the beach but the rudeness of the employees that worked on the resort kept ruining what was supposed to be a peaceful vacation. My husband and I travel often and one important factor we look for is good customer service. We stayed for 7 days and 6 nights. The workers at the Royalton especially the female workers had a very horrible attitude. Majority of the male workers at the Royalton were pleasant. The staff in the buffet seem to be annoyed and very short fused. They would often be in a corner gossiping instead of attending to the guest and if you were lucky enough to flag down an employee they would take a very long time to bring back a watered down orange juice or soda. There was no sense of urgency to help or tend to the guest. One morning I walked in the buffet and I walked past the host who was gossiping outside with another employee. I waited for a few seconds for someone to come to the stand to walk me to a table and take my room number. After realizing nobody was coming I walked over to another staff member on the floor who escorted me back to the front to the host that was gossiping outside. She finally ended her convo outside and rudely found me a table. This was the interactions my husband and I received during our time at the Royalton. The last 2 days were the worst. The property has a cafe ice cream shop called scoops. After dinner we walked to scoops to get some ice cream. When we walked in there was only 2 ladies sitting down who were already served. The lady at the counter saw us walk in and again refused to greet us. I finally said hello and she answered rudely and I told her I would like some ice cream. Before I could tell her what flavor ice cream I wanted she rudely stated “ you know they have all of this at the buffet” I was thrown off by her statement so I said really they have all of this in there I never saw it. She then responds “what do you mean all of this ?” I stated I only see pastries in the buffet I never seen ice cream . She then responded rude again and said “they have ice cream you just have to ask” at this point I’m really confused with the hostility. After this she asked what flavor ice cream I want. I told her she gave it to me and my husband was so turned off that when she asked him if he wanted something he said no. When we went outside he said what just happened in there and I told him I’m confused myself. When we got back to our room 10607 my husband called to make a complaint. They sent up a bottle of champagne and told us that they will speak to the lady in scoops manager. The following night our last night on the resort we went back to scoops. This time we were greeted by another employee. She took one look at my husband and said “what kind of hairstyle is that ? And started laughing “ I looked her and said what is wrong with his hair and she said the way it’s so straight. I said there is nothing wrong with his hair. That’s just the texture of his hair. I was offended by her comment and so was my husband . After we left my husband took out his phone to look at his camera to look at his hair since the employee found it funny. This really upset me because this was my husbands 40th birthday celebration and he spent most of the time trying to over look the rude staff at the royalton. I spent over $4000 dollars on this trip and I at least thought we would received decent customer service which we didn’t. Thank you Royalton for providing my husband and I horrible customer service for his 40th birthday. We did leave a complaint with guest services upon checkout but hopefully those rude employees are addressed and we can spare future guest the rude experience we received. Read less

Food is really good and plenty of variety. Yes you may have to wait for a table at times at some restaurants but it’s never more than hour while you grab a drink and relax. Rooms are clean and spacious and the pool area is really good too with an amazing beach. Of course there is the odd maintenance issue if you want to scrutinise every bit but nothing offensive or that will make any difference to your holiday. Don’t bother with Diamond club, we didn’t use it and still had an amazing break. Read less

The sea here is crystal clear and lovely breeze when sitting at the main pools. All the staff are really friendly. Food is of a high standard. The only restaurant we didn't enjoy was the Caribbean - the food was hit and miss. Rooms were clean and modern. Entertainment was pretty good and vibe team did a great job getting everyone to join in. Mr Awesome and his water aerobics were memorable. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this resort. Ignore the bad reviews this place is excellent. We witnessed some incredibly rude behaviour from a few American visitors who only stay a few nights - I expect the bad reviews are left by them. This is 2nd Royalton stay - St Lucia in January and Antigua. We are heading to Royalton Splash Riviera in Cancun in September. So far really enjoying this hotel chain Read less

We have just returned from this lovely hotel. This is our 3rd stay with Royalton… we have done Jamaica and the Dominican and feel the diamond club here was the best service yet. We were extremely worried after reading the reviews but glad we ignored them. There was 17 in our party. All of us in diamond club. Matara and Paul were our butlers, extremely helpful and friendly. One of family members rooms did have a moldy smell, but they were moved on request immediately and asked many times if they were ok with their new room. All the rest of the rooms were perfect. Yes sometimes you could pick at them needing a bit of work that needs doing but we don’t tend to notice those things. They were clean and comfortable. We left jewelry out and had no concerns over our belongings. Mini bar very well stocked. Butlers happy to get extras for you. We found staff very friendly and one or two maybe not as smiley as others but this didn’t bother us. We know in our own country how much hospitality has suffered during and after Covid and we have noticed in our holidays abroad since 2021 that is is very evident it hit these countries hardest. It’s hard to find a perfect team of smiley waiters/waitresses here… god knows how they would do it without the finances and training we have. We enjoyed all food and drink, no one was ill. We used the diamond club pool, bar and reception. All excellent. The buffet was similar to any Caribbean buffet and did a great job, we used this most days. Restaurants were all good. We split into smaller groups at time as we’re such a big party but our butlers did manage 2 large group booking for us. The culinary experience with Katty was as good as any decent London restaurant… delicious! It’s an extra charge, but so worth it. Set in a beautiful room. This hotel is smaller than the other royaltons we have stayed at, but we preferred it. Easy layout, absolutely beautiful beach. Not too busy. It suited our family holiday perfectly! We would return here happily. It is Very much the Royalton brand, which seems to suit us and our holiday needs! It definitely does not deserve some of the reviews it’s getting! Thank you to everyone at Royalton Antigua, that took the time to make our holiday a great one. Read less
