Was really looking forward to our stay at SAii but have left with mixed feelings. Easier to name the positives and the not so goods really: Positives: You have to get a boat here, so get out of Ton Sai and get to see the coast on the way here. Location is stunning, couldn’t ask for more and the see here is crystal clear and warm. So so warm like a bath at times. Staff are friendly and buggy service is great Views from the villas are fantastic and if you have a pool, then you are in for a real treat. Pool villas are great. So this is great, if you want to spend entire days at your pool villa. Real bonus and the pool is a decent size. Negatives: It is not a 5* resort in my opinion. There is a lot of things that need addressing. The restaurants are overly priced. Wine is expensive, but you all know that when travelling around Thailand. The grounds in places are not as pristine as they should be. Breakfast is ok. A lot of the warm food is tepid at best. Toaster takes four attempts to toast. Cocktails - literally the worst I have ever had. Sent it back twice as it was warm both times. Ended up just sending both cocktails back. Excursions are super expensive. 4400baht for Maya Beach trip compared to 2000baht if you book in the village. The village is worth while going to. It is only a 5 min walk and there are plenty of bars and restaurants worth visiting. Oasis and Pad Thai. Camelrock is a great bar at the end of the village. WATCH OUT FOR THE MONKEYS: a family descended on our pool villa in seconds and then three ran straight at us, snatch our crisps, then all of them (8/9) ran into the villa and ransacked it, stealing every bit of food there, whether it was open or shut. SAii Phi Phi Island Village is a great resort ideally located on Phi Phi Island. The separate cabins are set in beautiful gardens. The pools are excellent, although there could be more sun lounges. Breakfast was very good and the service was outstanding. The attached local village was a bonus with a number of great restaurants.

Amazing place on earth, beautiful peaceful, like a bay in paradise. Very good restaurants, highly recommend. Wonderful staff guided by Mr. Peera, the person that have eyes everywhere. Really must see, but please do not make the mistake to go to the center of Phi Phi, nothing to see, sorry but even dirty in my eyes

We stayed here from the 26th October until November 10th which is a long time for Koh Phi Phi. But, it was the best trip we’ve ever had. If you’re planning to stay at the hotel for your entire trip, you’ll miss out on everything around you. The hotel pools and beach are gorgeous but the real Koh Phi Phi is a 5-minute walk into the local village. Me and my wife ventured there one evening and fell in love with the food, the people and the character. We highly recommend Oasis Bar & Restaurant and Camelrok Bar. Great people and amazing food. The hotel itself is very well looked after and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The Api bar is the main restaurant and has a pretty good selection of food. If you’re here for more than a week though, I’d suggest trying other restaurants. My only complaints: the Ruan Thai restaurant didn’t have a huge selection of Thai food compared to others on the island. And the service in the Api restaurant can be hit and miss depending on who’s working. One thing we’d really recommend doing is the jungle trek to viewpoint 3 from the hotel. There are lizards, snakes and monkeys in the jungle so be careful but it was a real adventure. Not many people do this that we saw so it’s pretty much guaranteed to be quiet. Overall, we loved it. We’ve stayed on another resort only 20 minutes away and Saii has a wider selection of things to do, the rooms are more modern and the nearby things to do are more accessible. Ps RENT a bike. Be a kid again. It’s a lot of fun. Read less

The spa is up on the mountain and offers a wonderful view while you relax. They have an app through which you can book buggy service and excursions and spa visits. The restaurant Ruan Thai is another beautiful experience of food and ambience, don't miss it :) The reception desk is very prompt, a word of praise for ATT, Hana & Mina. Breakfast buffet is really good and the staff is attentive. Only drawback is some of the staff don't understand English. Read less
