In Montego Bay, 90-minutes away from Ocho Rios and its world famous Dunn's River Falls. Transfer time from Montego Bay airport: 5 minutes (please note there is some aircraft noise).

Hotel information

272 rooms and suites. All have air-conditioning, satellite TV, complimentary WiFi access, telephone, coffee maker, mini-bar with soft drinks, wines and beers, safety deposit box, iron and board, amenity kit and hairdryer. Caribbean Deluxe are located on the first floor of the Oleander building and ground floor of Cottage 8, with views of the pool and tropical gardens.

Crystal Lagoon Honeymoon Oceanview Luxury Room with Balcony Tranquility Soaking Tub are located in a prime location on the first and second floors of the Seagrapes building. These rooms have a spa-inspired bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower, and a Tranquility Soaking Tub for two on the balcony.

Beachfront Honeymoon Club Level Junior Suites are located on the upper floor of cottage 12, with views of the beach and ocean from the balcony. Some of these suites have a whirlpool tub and shower in one, and others have just a bath tub.

We have been to Jamaica several times and we decided for our 30th anniversary to do something different. We chose to go with butler service and we really enjoyed it. The 2 gentleman Swaby and Chaira were nothing short of Excellent! They were there when we needed them, they anticipated things like a snack on the beach or by the pool. They set up romantic bath, romantic dinner setup in our room. Best of all they had time to talk We never felt they were rushed and we genuinely got to talk with them and by the end of our trip we were sad to leave. They were so good and engaging we booked the exact same trip with the same 2 butlers, and the same room for next year. All the staff were friendly, the food was great. Make sure you bring mosquito repellent. The resort is across the street from the airport runway. Don't freak out. Plans come over for a limited time in the day and honestly you barely notice. We had ants almost everyday in our room no matter how many times maintenance claimed they came by. Even the coffee was subpar. This was our 4th Sandals experince and really turned us off the brand. We checked in on 6/30/24 for our honeymoon. The welcome was warm and friendly. When we arrived, we thought being by the airport would be a problem but honestly when we are in our room you really can’t hear much noise, only certain areas you can’t help but hear the planes go by. The staff was friendly and catered to our needs. The variety of food was great. We stayed on the property the entire time. No excursion was taken because we were on the island before our check-in date. During our stay we experienced the hurricane. We were happy to stay on the property more than any other place on the island. The staff and General Manager, Christoper Elliott went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and had food available to the guests. Christoper updated us as the storm approached our area and after the hurricane passed. He made himself available to the guests to answer any questions, the limited staff stocked our rooms with linens, paper products drinks and we were able to bring food to our rooms from the restaurant. Christopher is truly a great leader, and his staff reflects the leadership he showed. Not everyone can be leaders, but he is definitely a good front-runner. Everyone loves great service; I will definitely go back and recommend that property. Read less

Our stay dates were June 29-July 6, 2024 Upon arrival guests were escorted to Sandals welcome center. Upon entry we were greeted with a cool face cloth and offered an island punch. Sandals check-in not efficient as it could have been. However, many of the awaiting guests observed and noted that Cyana was working very hard. She not only said hello and acknowledged those who entered but was also answering the phone and assisting her co-workers who may have asked her a question. She did all this with patience and a smile. A great first impression of the level of customer service we were to expect. She ROCKS and deserves a Gold star! Also helpful and very friendly was Dijone. Both have great personalities. I do hope they both have an opportunity to further their growth and be promoted. They represent the Sandals brand very well. Property: Very Nice. Well kept and maintained. Grounds crew are hard workers, were up very early to ensure the grounds, pools and beach were clean. They continued to impress us even more so after the rains and winds of Hurricane Beryl left debris strewn across the property. Additionally, never did I go into a ladies room (inside hotel or at the pool/beach) and it was not clean and refreshed. A great job by both the grounds crew housekeeping team. The hotel lobby (living room): was open and inviting; however, ceiling fans did not all work. Some were on, while others were off. Absolutely no reason not to have all fans working simultaneously. Guests kept asking for the fans to be turned on and they turned on some but not the others. Some chair pillows need to be cleaned, reupholstered or replaced. Restaurants: There was a variety with a good amount of options. Food was very good/flavorful and plentiful. The most popular was Butch's. And it was definitely worth making a reservation. The alcohol in the rooms were the standard but at the hotel bars the alcohol was premium/top-shelf as promoted/advertised. Also appreciated the enforcement of wearing coverings over bathing suits. Not too much to ask and it should be that way. The only disappointment was that although "Lobster season" was to begin on July 1, there was no lobster available during our stay, so we ended up canceling our pre-paid Candlelit dinner. Entertainment: Overall, the entertainment team did a good job. Some of the entertainment was interactive which made it fun, there was a live band/singers, nights of dancing and they did a nice job with the 4th of July entertainment. But perhaps adding a theatre type play will compliment what they're currently doing. Hurricane Beryl - Chris, GM - approachable, personable. Appears to be a hands on leader. It is apparent that he cares not just about the physical property, but also the safety of his employees and of course the guests. Never seen the prepared readiness for a storm but seeing their process in action and up close, it was quick and efficient. Great team work! Gathering guests for a briefing and updates was well received and appreciated. Even more so how they kept the restaurant Bayside open all day to allow guests to eat and to pack and take food/fruits/snacks to ensure no one would go hungry while waiting for Hurricane Beryl to pass over. The loss of Wi-fi was all we encountered and that was for not very long. After the storm, in the very early morning, the GM and his management team as well as the beach grounds crew were assessing the damage. And in no time the pool and beach ground crews did a great job restoring them back to pre-Hurricane Beryl. Again, great team work. Areas of improvement/suggestions: Consistent and accurate communication. There is no reason why an employee at the lobby front desk/Concierge desk (or over the phone), will tell you something and then you find out they provided you with incorrect information. That happened twice (how the voucher program worked and the airport shuttle)…that’s very frustrating to guests who spent a lot of money to vacation with you (whether first time or returning). Thanks to Chris, GM, who rectified the airport transport issue right away! *Exterminate property more frequently (shared specifics with our TLC Jermaine) *Provide at least four (4) face cloths for guests per day *Room 601 - Furniture (green sitting chair is visibly stained…should be cleaned or reupholstered or replaced). It also has a low bed with worn bed springs; either replace or at least add another mattress Lastly, shout outs to: Keyan - Entertainment (cool personality and great dancer, very personable) Patrice - Housekeeping (very friendly and takes her responsibilities seriously) Abigail and Courtleon - (lobby front desk both pleasant and helpful) Marlon - our favorite bartender (creative mixologist) Archie - (security) and again: Cyana and Dijone!
