I have been coming to Atlantis for 25+ years, beginning as trips with my parents. I have continued to visit through my 30s and now into my 40s. This property has dropped off tremendously. I could not believe how many things were broken and non-functioning. I could not believe how desolate and quiet the place was. Even the marine habitats of turtles, sting rays, fish and other creatures were about 10% as occupied and flourishing as I remember in the past. This includes the tanks at The Dig, which were only full of generic fish. I saw maybe 5 sharks in the entire 6 days, when in the past I would remember seeing nothing but sharks. It is clear that this property has stopped spending money and maintaining its excellence and the things that set it apart from the rest. With the current conditions of the resort, I do not see any reason to return and I have no idea why anyone would choose the Atlantis when visiting the Bahamas. There are dozens of other properties with plenty more to offer. If this wasn't a free trip for me, I would be demanding a refund. The fact that I spent less than $300 in 6 days is the only saving grace for me, as the only thing wasted was my time. I am fortunate enough to have visited the island enough times to know other places to visit and to feel comfortable off the property. With that being said, my time spent at this property was so terrible that I feel obligated to return home and ensure nobody else makes the mistake of visiting the Atlantis. My experience was so poor that I feel like I am doing humanity a disservice if I do not share my displeasure and provide ample warning to not visit here, and save countless strangers from wasting their money and having a terrible experience. The view is extraordinary!!!! We love the comfort of a suite to feel more like home. As we have traveled here before we knew prices and always order from the supermarket ahead of time. Breakfast in the room and lunch quick bites… Seafire, Carmines, Murray’s are always favorites for dinner!!

The Reef resort was wonderful. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The close access to beach and pool was great. Nice to have shuttle service to the other hotels and areas of the resort. Enjoyed the casino and steak house. We will definitely be back!

We recently visited Atlantis Bahamas with our family, including young children, and had high hopes given the resort’s reputation. Unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired. We had been offered an upgrade before arrival, which we accepted, but upon check-in at the Coral Tower, the upgrade wasn’t honored. The room itself was in rough shape, with a wardrobe door barely hanging on and overall poor maintenance. When we requested an upgrade, they initially declined, but after walking over to the Reef Tower, they agreed to an upgrade for a significant additional cost. The suite at the Reef Tower was a noticeable improvement and much more comfortable. One downside across the hotel was the excessive air conditioning; it was uncomfortably cold in many areas, which seemed wasteful and unnecessary. The service left room for improvement as well. Several staff members appeared disengaged, chatting amongst themselves rather than attending to guests. The manager responsible for towel and wristband distribution was particularly rude, which was surprising given we were paying over $1,000 a night and expected top-tier service. However, we did appreciate Venessa at the Reef check-in desk—she was fantastic and really made us feel welcome. The breakfast staff were also friendly and attentive. Food was another letdown. Prices were extremely high, and the quality didn’t match. Many restaurants were closed, which made reservations hard to secure. Despite these setbacks, the resort’s facilities and the beautiful sea surroundings were fantastic and were the highlight of our stay. We did email guest relations but did not get any response which is disappointing All in all, I wouldn’t say we’d rush back, unless there was an exceptional deal. Atlantis has so much potential, but there’s a lot of room for improvement to meet the premium price point. Read less

The reef is family oriented and top notch destination in bahamas. We loved the room with full kitchen and the pools, restaurants with Michelin starred chef and the aqua parks and more. You will not regret to experience it. We go almost every year
