Where is it

Sat in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in Baa Atoll. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 30 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

The best resort we ever stayed at. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The resort is amazing, a paradise!!! Our room (over water) was so magical, comfortable and big. The food was great. It’s definitely a holiday we will never forget

This was our second time at the Westin Maldives. My family and I had such a great time at the Westin last year, we decided to go back, knowing that there would be a chance that we might be disappointed the second time around. After our 5 night stay, I can comfortably say that our second time around was even better than the our first! From the moment that we arrived, the resort felt like home with familiar faces everywhere. Our kids were eager to see their favorites from last time and many of the staff, whom we loved so much, were still there. The feeling was akin to seeing old friends. The smile from Min the chef every morning brings anticipation and excitement to every dish that comes to the plate. This time breakfast even included an a la carte menu with creative dishes from the new executive chef. Our favor was the Boa Taco. While a year older, my kids ran to Karen from the Kid's club like their younger selves. Deepak was as charismatic as ever, conversations with him were always enriching. New build manager Fikree, was the kindest and most loving man, gave us a-behind-the-scenes tour of the facilities - a must do. Knowing all the work that goes into power, supplying and running this amazing resort gave us a renewed appreciation for the staff and everything that they do behind the scenes to provide us such wonderful experience. The star of the show was the General Manager who's leadership brought the entire operation together. Beyond the people, the facilities were just as tip top as before. The rooms are generously sized. The place is modern, but very functional. The property also had some new upgrades that we noticed instantly - an outdoor workout area, a new yoga pavilion, a newly surfaced tennis court, all of which we used during our stay. In short, the Westin is a gem. Having been to other Maldives resorts, this is perhaps the best valued, most bang-for-your-buck resort. If you are into healthy living, personalized luxury that's not pretentious, don't look anywhere else. As someone who doesn't like to go back to the same place twice, we are already speaking about going back to the Westin for a 3rd time! Can't wait to see our friends again. Read less

Just came back from an amazing 6-night stay at the Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort and already want to go back. The people, snorkeling and island are magnificent. The Westin Maldives team is hardworking, passionate and went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. From Ali always seeming to know exactly what we needed and our cocktail specialist; Yanis (aka mr. Dior) being so kind; Celine the fashion lover giving us some great tips on excursions; Aiman the comedian always making us smile; Shaarim the hard worker memorizing our favourites; Chef Min customizing and creating new dishes; the Dive Centre team keeping us safe and showing us the best snorkeling spots; Athar and team keeping the rooms clean and impressing us with bamboo art; Laurent the thoughtful leader; and to so many others making our stay memorable. The house reef is beautiful, you can walk in and immediately won’t know where to start looking. Spotted reef sharks daily and the 5-minute boat trip to brother island for more exploration allowed us to admire a turtle and moray eel amongst all the corals and fish. Spa amenities are lovely and peaceful. Rooms are great and big with the best beds, but could benefit from a bit of a refurbishment. Sea plane transfer to the island can take a bit longer, depending on seaplane schedules that only become available with little time in advance, so keep that in mind when you are planning your trip. Great place to escaped and recharge your self away from the bustling city. The food was excellent, sumptuous and very artistic preparation. Staff are very friendly and smiling all the time, very accommodating and they have their own initiative to cater what you really need. Hope to visit this place again.
