This recently renovated hotel sits directly on a wide stretch of beach in the quiet, pretty resort of Wailea and is ideal for both families and couples. Kids will get a kick out of their own pool with its two water slides, while adults can kick back and sunbathe by their own pool, or relax in the hot tub. There's a Mandara Spa with a range of pampering treatments, or you can explore the surrounding countryside on foot along several hiking and nature trails. Enjoy a new signature restaurant for all-day dining, including a wonderful breakfast buffet and an informal poolside restaurant featuring nightly Hawaiian entertainment. The hotel is within easy walking distance of The Shops at Wailea - an upscale shopping mall. Family Summer Trip. 5 night stay and dealt with a very suspect encounter on the second day. On Monday July 1st, my family and I were enjoying our time at the Nalu pool. I had walked to the bar and ordered a Fortaleza tequila with club soda and lime juice (ranch water). The bartender, Anita, did a great job with the drink and I walked back to our chairs. A few minutes later, the pool server, Shaye, came by and asked if i would like another to which I said yes after telling her my drink, a Fortaleza tequila with club soda and lime juice (ranch water). Drink was dropped off, tasted great like the first one. About 20 minutes later, 3:30pm, she had asked if i would like anything else and I said I will take another. This time, the drink had a different tequila. I know for a fact as anybody could taste the hint of floral.. When I went to the bar to question Shaye, she told me that they do not serve Fortaleza at the bar. Anita who I ordered the first drink, from which I saw pour a Fortaleza with my own eyes, was on break and Charlie had taken over. He too said they don’t have it. Shaye, with an attitude insisted that they don’t have Fortaleza nor have they served Fortaleza that day. I even showed her my receipt that says Fortaleza on it but she kept denying it and was extremely rude about it. Between Shaye and Charlie, something shady was going on. I was about to pay for a well tequila at a non-well price had I not said anything. After leaving the pool, I went to the front desk and asked for a manger. At that time it was Leslie who jotted down my concern and said someone would call me. I missed a call at dinner but no message or communication, even at checkout time. This is extremely concerning. I travel around the world and opt for drinks at the Marriott properties. If I have to keep a watchful eye at what is being poured, then I just won’t partake. Needless to say, I don’t plan on staying at the Wailea beach resort again. Read less

Absolutely love the Aloha vibes, hospitality, location, restaurants and overall cleanliness of this hotel! From the moment you walk in, you’ll be wowed by the attentiveness and warmth of the employees from the valet, to the check in desk, to every one you cross paths with. Amazing. We had a small hiccup with our room, and the woman at the front desk immediately escalated to their manager and made a call on the spot to fix it. Mahalo!! Kids also loved the waterslides at the Nalu pool. And the game room is free! Let me repeat: arcade games, skee ball, etc all free. That alone was shocking and the kids were super happy and even gave mom and dad some free time while they hung out there. The views are gorgeous, the grounds are immaculate and they are really on top of making everything a five star experience. We will 100% be back!! Read less

Aloha! This hotel from beginning to end was incredible!! It wasn’t overcrowded, seats at pool were easy to get. The hotel slides at the family adventure pool were some of best hotel slides I’ve EVER been on, and we travel a lot! The bartender, Anita, at the Nalu Advebture pool will remember your name and drink and make you feel special! I enjoyed seeing her face and smile everyday. We went over to this resort for a brief sunset cocktail. In their parking garage, for 1 hour 8 minutes, they charged us over FORTY THREE DOLLARS. Absurd. Their restaurants are great, and it is a nice atmosphere, but why would I come back to be charged exorbitant rates for parking? No thanks:

Our family of three had a great stay at this resort. It had everything we needed and wanted for our vacation. We stayed six nights in a king room with a pullout couch for our teenager that had a gorgeous ocean view. The service was excellent. We spent a lot of our time at the pool where we had great, attentive service from Megan (thank you!). While the hotel was very busy, we never had a problem getting loungers at the pool, regardless of the time of day or day of week. Food and bev are very good and prices as to be expected in Hawai’i - its not inexpensive. However, the market on the property was very reasonably priced as was the upscale market at the mall. The location is fantastic - I’ve not stayed in Wailea before and it was absolutely stunning. You are also walking distance to the mall that has many luxury and mid-range brands and a number of restaurants. And if you have teenagers who somehow get bored being at the pool or beach (cue eye roll!), the mall is a nice respite for everyone. ;) Read less
