The hotel

Not just a hotel, Zilwa Attitude is more of an experience, embracing the life of the islanders. With a relaxed village feel, it is packed with authentic Mauritian experiences so you’ll truly feel like one of the natives after a week or two here. In a beautiful location, overlooking endless stretches of sandy beach and with stunning views of no less than five islands, it is a slice of heaven. Just a few minutes away by boat, or a short paddle, is Grand Zil where you can while away a few hours on a lounger and perhaps tuck in to a barbecue lunch — or enjoy a rejuvenating massage on the smaller Ti Zil. Rooms are inspired from traditional seaside bungalows and are contemporary in design but rustic too with rough white-washed walls and brushed cement floors. Embracing bright colours, there's a choice of room types, as well as family rooms, apartments and suites by the sea. Book a treatment at the world-class spa and take some time to chill on a day bed in the relaxation garden whilst listening to the twitter of birdsong. As you kick back, the little ones will be kept happy at the kids' club, with a fun garden, a games room and a large boat to explore and escape the sun ! There are six restaurants at Zilwa, offering cuisines from European to Creole, Indian and Asian, and the All Inclusive dine-around experience means you can discover wonderful varied meals each day of your stay.

Food was lovely, Indian restaurant was gorgeous. All the staff couldn’t do enough for you, entertainment was usually a singer or band. we did 2 off site trips, booked the catamaran from the hotel which was great and did the 5 island tour with taxi bhavish (avoid big johns swimming with whale and dolphin trips you won’t see any) The 5 island tour was great seen dolphins, fed monkeys, seen the waterfalls it was great fun on the speedboat. Overall fabulous holiday, would recommend. Read less

We have just returned home after our honeymoon at zilwa attitude. What a beautiful place, the staff are amazing. We had our favourites who are an asset to the Zilwa team. You could see new members were starting and some had a lot of potential! Only negative was I felt some uncomfortable tones from management towards staff sometimes. I don't like that I could feel their 'power'. From the minute we arrived we felt like royalty, our bags taken to our rooms, a introduction briefing and drink and an introduction to our room. The room was lovely, no problems. We had a little lizard living with us but this was ok. Food was very good and the restaurants were a great idea we booked these many times. Pools were well kept. A heated one for the kids too. Beaches were lovely but you couldn't swim as the water was too shallow. This was a shame but great for the little kids to be able to paddle. The small island in the hotel was amazing, great sun trap and great BBQ lunch this was one of our favourite things to do. Big shout out to the aqua gym guys, I will miss being woken on my lounger at 10.50am each day with bellows of 'AQUA GYMMMMMMM' you guys were very fun and excitable bringing the holiday vibeeeees. We used the free water sports, kayaking and glass bottom boat, both great. Entertainment on an evening was hit and miss. I loved the dancers, some singers where great, others were a little boring... Music had to be quite quiet which I felt killed the vibe. Entertainment was only on a weekly rota so we saw the same stuff twice, would be good to have a two week rota. I would 100% recommend the hotel to family's with young children. Read less

The most amazing hotel, with the friendliest of staff who couldn't do enough for you. All of the restaurants serve amazing food and such a great choice at the buffet too. Literally catering for all tastes. Always fresh and always too much to choose from, which has got to be a good thing!! The hotel is kept immaculately clean and tidy, with housekeeping maintaining excellent standards and everyone is always happy to say hello & all have a smile on their face. Such a welcoming hotel. The beautiful location and breath-taking view as you enter the hotel are priceless. The photo's don't do it justice. It was lovely sitting in the bar as new guests arrive & you literally see their face drop - it really is that amazing. It really felt like heaven on earth, we were so relaxed and had the best time. The bar staff are great fun too & a huge thanks to Satyam and Niraj - always so friendly, even though they laughed at us for asking for a smaller amount of rum! It felt that they were genuinely pleased to see you every day. Words can't describe enough how perfect this hotel is, I think you'd be really hard pushed to find anywhere just so accommodating, friendly, clean and magical as Zilwa Attitude - A special place we will never forget, thank you. During my stay, I had a health issue and I must admit that when I turned up at the reception at 6am, the night staff gave me his full support (I can't remember his name though). This staff member along with Joy Balgobin, Vickram and all staff whom we met are real assets to the hotel and I do thank them all for having made our stay a memorable one. Read less
