We have stayed at numerous Zoetry’s prior to this location. We decided to try Montego Bay with hopes we would have a similar experience, but unfortunately we were wrong. We had read mixed reviews before coming, but what resort doesn’t have pro’s/con’s so we decided to still book based on our personal experiences at other locations. We wish we hadn’t. Upon checkin on Monday the butler made it clear he was done for the day already, but still brought us to our room with the help of my husband carrying bags. FIRST IMPRESSIONS are everything! There was no tour through the property. When asked about What’s App being setup he said the other Butler would do it tomorrow (it was not mentioned again to us until Thursday). We asked the front desk how we could get more information or where we can ask questions and the response was just press “0”. We tried to use the Inclusive App (which we only knew about based on other stays), but it was never accurate. Menus were not updated and times of meal service were not correct. The property was small enough so we of course could manage finding things on our own. We had booked a swim out suite with an ocean view. The website specifically stated it would be in the Blue Mountain Building, which it was not. I called the Front Desk to inquire and was told we never guarantee buildings. When I mentioned the website she just kept saying we don’t guarantee rooms. She did get a manager who also reiterated our room had a view and no guarantee of location , but did eventually say the next day they could possibly move us later in the day. The next day was also going to be the worse of the weather/rain. We declined at this point. It is definitely not a wellness resort. There was overhead plane noise and loud motorcycle noise from the road. These things would never be something I mentioned if they were the only issues. The pool music was very loud and more party type music. Dinner music at Canoa was also loud. Unfortunately because we didn’t receive the ocean view room, we had a room in return that had a view of the back of Canoa and of the main pool instead, which means we heard all of the loudness day and night. The only positive of our room was the staff did walk past often so we were able to at times, minimal as it was, get drinks in our swim out suite; if we had been in the other building I doubt we would have ever been served. Our swim out pool was never cleaned our entire stay. We had a cockroach in our room the first night, when we asked the butler the next day if they spray the property or if the housekeepers would have a spray we could use around doorways he said he would ask. We are still waiting for that answer. Whether it actually helped or not we slept with the room VERY cold going forward with all lights on in an effort to deter more bugs; it at least helped us feel more comfortable. We never unpacked our luggage with the worry we would end up with bugs in our bags. There was hot water ONE day of our stay. The water pools in the shower because the floor is not pitched correctly towards the drain, so it leaves standing water. Often times they were out of menu items at the beginning of the meal, some days no fruit, no yogurt, or no Red Stripe. We were woken up one morning with the fire alarm. We were woken up two other mornings with our Butler calling to see if we needed our mini bar refreshed. As for the positives - KIMBERLY, BARBARA, a few others we do not remember the names of (but they were night staff in the restaurants), and food at Jerky Jo’s was amazing! I have read many recent reviews which mention some of these exact things I mentioned and the staff response is they wish you would have mentioned while you were there so they could address. Why do items that clearly are issues mentioned previously need to be continuously mentioned by many guests before getting resolved? The resort knew we were unhappy, which I’m sure was the reason they didn't do an exit survey with us on property as they were doing with others checking out. In return they sent an email to ask questions and to leave a trip advisor review, so here is the review! Do not go! Spend your money elsewhere! Read less

Our experience at Zoetry Montego Bay was not what we had hoped for or expected after staying at Zoetry VR Isla Mujeres a dozen times. Quality was not there. Although the rooms were very nice, the bed was a different story. They were hard, and the pillows were horrible and lumpy. I asked for another pillow option, but they didn’t have anything else. Our first room had a noisy air conditioner, and when we woke up it had been leaking all night and had water all over the floor. When we asked for maintenance to look at it, they “solved” the problem by turning off the air conditioning. Once we turned it back on, it started the issue all over again. The food was poor at best. They were out of so many things. I ordered eggs and toast for breakfast, they delivered my eggs and told me they were out of toast. One employee would tell us it was because of a busy weekend prior to our arrival, another employee would blame it on the last hurricane. They did not have top shelf liquor as advertised on their website, and many times, they were out altogether. They had a hobie cat type sailboat, and when we inquired about it, they wanted to charge us $70! Read less

This is NOT a 4.5 star resort. When you go to an all inclusive resort you expect the food to be good. It was not. I have never had worse food at a resort. Food items would never come as we ordered. The quality and quantity of the food was very bad. The pool had moss growing in it. The beach area is very small and not very swimmable. Service was just ok. We chose this resort because it was small and we wanted something quiet and thought that it would work. It is too close to the airport so there are planes flying over every five minutes. It is right off the main road so there is very loud road noise. I would not recommend this resort at all. Read less

The resort is immaculately clean throughout. The room was huge and well maintained by the cleaning staff. Thank you. The food in the restaurants, for all meals was exceptionally good. Service in the main was good but don"t forget it is "Jamaica style", where getting a second glss of wine took 30 minutes. Easily solved by talking to the boss. The waiters who served us were very good with a special thanks to Orane and Mark Anthony for looking after us so well, but the star of the show was Singing Barbi. the lovely Barbara, the lobby bartender, who looked after us so well, again thank you so much. On many nights after a late 9-30 meal we were the only ones in the bar. Barbara told us that most couples go to their rooms to watch Netflix and ??? We also would like to thank Stephvoy on the front desk, for his patience and helping us out with our phone and trying to contsct the Sunwing agent who we never saw at the resort. The beach although small was good but the ocean was very shallow and full of seaweed which made swimming difficult. Again on some days we were the only ones on the beach. The pool was very clean and well maintained Nowadays noise is considered to be pollution. This resort is very noisy, which is expected due to the aircraft landing and taking off from the nearby airport, but for us the biggest offender was the dual carriage high way , which is literally a stones throw from the resort. Large, old diesel trucks which probably have never been serviced properly, when accelerating and decelerating sound like machine guns being fired, while emitting plumes of dangerous exhaust smoke. This was happeng day and night. Not good. For this reason, highway noise, I don"t consider the resort to be 5 star Read less
