A veritable castle in the heart of the city, the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is an impeccable symbol of indulgence and pedigree. Offering the luxury and services of a world-class hotel, all guest rooms are beautifully furnished with every attention to detail observed. Facilities include a state-of-the-art health club, accessible 24-hours a day, with indoor heated swimming pool and saunas. Pilates and Yoga classes are available at the Sitka Studios or treat yourself to some well-deserved pampering at the Absolute Spa. There’s also some prime shopping in the lobby with designers stores selling plenty to tempt you! Although you’re close to plenty of restaurants and bars in the downtown area, the Fairmont’s very own Notch8 Restaurant & Bar is the ideal place to relax and watch the world pass by. Named after a train’s top speed, achieved only by the most skilled conductors, the restaurant pays homage to the hotel’s storied history and legacy as a luxury hotel along the Canadian Pacific railway. A traditional afternoon tea is also served here daily — for a special occasion, add a glass of champagne or, if the kids want to tag along, childish delights include Bubblegum Tea, fresh strawberries and cream and a giant chocolate chip cookie!

Amazing Staff

It’s a grand hotel, but the staff set it apart, especially those at the concierge desk. Top notch! Our room, a twin queen suite was perfect. The gym was a surprise, better equipped than most hotel gyms. All in all you’d be pressed to find a more enjoyable experience in the city.

Stayed here for two nights recently as part of our family holiday. We had two rooms, a king size room and a twin and both were great. Really comfy beds and lots of space in the room. Lovely Le Lobo Rose 31 toiletries in the bathrooms.

Check in and check out was very easy. We ordered room service food one night and it came quickly and was delicious.
The hotel is central to lots of Vancouver cafes, Resturant and attractions.
We were leaving on a cruise from this hotel and could easily walk the couple of blocks from the hotel to the cruise terminal with our luggage.
Only very small downside we had was that service was really slow when we had breakfast in the hotel Resturant on one of the mornings. The food was lovely but we just had a bit of a wait for it.

Elegant as always

The hotel is elegant and stately and offers dining, a bar and fitness facilities. We didn’t dine there this time but did have a drink in the travel-nostalgia-themed bar. Staff are consistently helpful and courteous and the rooms are well appointed.
Great location, comfortable hotel

The hotel is lovely. Very centrally located and convenient. Staff are lovely, warm and welcoming and really nothing to complain about! It was very comfortable and convenient.
The only thing that is worth nothing is that rooms are a little older and dated and could do with a refurb but this is not a reason to not stay here!

Hotel is an historical landmark and is located in central downtown within easy walk to the different city attractions, to the waterfront or the commercial Robson street close by. Weather was rainy during the week end I stayed there but with the umbrella provided by the hotel, managed to do quite a bit but mainly in the city. Loved Gastown.
All the staff, whether front desk, restaurant or housekeeping were professionnel and the concierge services staff were wonderful, always smiling and helpful.
I recommend the nearby (5mins walk) Hydra restaurant worth the money especically during happy hours.
I loved my 3nights stay here. Was happy to have a lovely room to enjoy when the weather was very rainy outside. I ll definitely stay here again in future.
