The hotel

This snug, soundproof hotel is the only one located on the grounds of O'Hare International Airport and all the airport terminals are easily accessible via handy underground moving walkways. There’s also free transport to the International Terminal to help make your journey home easy and quick. It’s only a 45-minute train ride from downtown Chicago if you fancy fitting in some last minute shopping or sightseeing. There’s also plenty to do at the hotel including a comprehensive fitness centre with swimming pool, whirlpool and steam room. You could even book a massage to relax you before your flight home! There are two dining choices Andiamo, which serves tasty international cuisine, and a lively Sports Bar showing all the important American football games with a side order of beers and snacks. Rooms are spacious and feature all important details like movies and game choices on the TV and enormous king-size beds for a great night’s sleep before your journey home.

If you have to stay at O’Hare, this place is the best place to stay at. Rooms are on the dated side but clean and well maintained. The simple fact that the hotel is walking distance from the terminals and you don’t need to wait for a shuttle (especially after a long international flight) is a huge plus.

Desk clerk was going to show me how easy it is to get the card, wondered if I had wifi. I took the phone back, doubted I needed to connect to the hotel's wifi to get the electronic key. Our room was near the elevator, I heard the intermittent hum of each trip, surprised it did not keep me from sleeping. It would have been nice to be able to set the HVAC unit to continuous fan for white noise to mask the elevator hum, couldn't, the fan button made a satisfying click while making no change. Little lights annoy my wife at night, the nightlight in the room could not be turned off. Did not hear anything from the connecting room All else was great, room could have handled a week's stay for the two of us with a huge closet and plenty of drawer space. There was a comfortable recliner with a good reading light, nice desk and chair. Bathroom had plenty of hot water and light was good for my morning shave. Mini fridge, iron, ironing board, room safe and coffee maker rounded out the amenities. Read less

Really comfortable stay. Friendly staff. We’d missed our connection flight out of Chicago, and were tired out after a long day. The hotel was a great place to rest and recuperate. The food at the restaurant was not that great, but average and a little overpriced.

This is the place to stay at the airport. It is a large hotel and the lady at check in asked what airline we were leaving on so that she could put us close to the nearest exit to our terminal to which it is a short walk. She gave us chilled bottles of water for our room. The room is of average size and adequate for two people. The pillows were very soft. I was hoping for a harder pillow or an extra one. There are at least two bars. I enjoyed the one with the twenties theme; food was good and it was reasonably priced. There is an excellent piano player. I would stay again. Read less
