Hotel Triton

Union Square, San Francisco

Virgin rating

The hotel

As chic as it is bohemian, Triton is one of the trendiest hotels in San Francisco. With a style all of its own, including suites designed by celebrities and art exhibits often hosted by the artists themselves, it’s one of those hotels you’re proud to ‘drop into conversation’ when you get home. The Triton team say it’s like staying with a fashionable friend who lives right by Union Square and Chinatown. With a Bag Butler to pick up your shopping from Union Square’s boutiques, an organic snack bar in your room, in-room spa treatments, and a wine social hour each evening, we think it’s probably better.

Transfer time from San Francisco International airport: 25 minutes.

Fabulous location that let us walk or bus everywhere we needed. Happy hour in the funky lobby was fun and featured CA wines. Staff were nice and friendly. Overall a great choice and would stay there again. Breakfast was underwhelming with costco bagels and fruit (that ran out pretty quickly) in a tiny room. But coffee and tea in the lobby was easier and quicker to grab. The only challenge was that our room's AC unit turned off regularly and we had to keep turning it on and off to get it going again (which made it really stuffy at night). Read less

Our Experiencer in this hotel was very good. in moist Part. with the following exceptions - Hallways were kept cooler then normal. - if non beverages are also offered in the Happy hour would make it better for Non drinkers and elderly . - Pillows are too soft. - House keeping staff should be able to Speak/understand English better.

Great hotel in a great location! Staff are warm and welcoming. The on-site restaurant, Cafe Press and gelateria are lovely as well! Food was great. Service was great! Gelato was among the best we have ever had experienced! Parking valet was quick and accommodating. Great stay!

We loved the happy hour and breakfast. The coffee was not great and they did not have decaf :( Check out was at 12 noon and the lobby was lovely as well as the outside tables where we sat to people watch. Convenient public parking less than a block away. About $200 a night is quite a splurge for me but it was worth it and we will definitely be back. Read less
