Hotel Zephyr

Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco

Virgin rating

The hotel

After a multi million dollar renovation, the Zephyr has been transformed into a modern, quirky hotel with a nautical theme and laidback vibe. In the heart of Fisherman’s Wharf, you can walk to PIER 39 and Ghirardelli Square (did someone say chocolate?) or jump on a cable car to explore further. Hidden at the back of the hotel is Socialite, a casual restaurant with a sociable atmosphere. There are lots of dining options close by too — grab a clam chowder bread bowl or head to Chinatown for delicious dim sum. When you're done sightseeing for the day, your hotel room offers a welcome oasis from a city that seemingly never sleeps!

The experience was horrible to check in early for two hours. They were going to charge $75 so of course we opted not to do that when we finally got in our room. Our AC did not work. Great location! Room was clean. Only complaint was pillows way too firm. But not a deal breaker. Staff were super friendly. We enjoyed the patio with fire pits. Super easy walk to Fisherman's Wharf and tons of restaurants nearby. Convenient onsite parking .

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Great check in experience, nice room, free smores! Free water. Free wifi. Can tip the housekeepers via an app which was honestly really helpful. Good location in fisherman's wharf but felt quiet. what's not to like!

Junior and Benny were super helpful! I loved all the little goodies I got to make my trip special. I would definitely come back to visit when I have a longer time to stay. Based on Juniors recommendations I should have a great breakfast nearby!
