The hotel and room are artsy cute. I got a $50 dining credit with my room rate but couldn’t use it for breakfast - which is what we had planned on. No breakfast served at the restaurant, and no grab-and-go breakfasts available on weekends. Donuts and coffee only. For dinner, the restaurant is serving a “limited summer menu,” which appears to have eliminated the only vegetable entree available on their full menu. When I asked about what is available for vegetarians, the server said the “vegetable crudite” and “salads.” I replied, “So no entrees? Just sides and salads?” He kept pointing me to salads for the vegetarian “meals.” It boggles my mind, in 2024, how many people - especially in the food industry - think that vegetarians eat vegetables for meals. My husband had vegetable crudite and a (small) order of onion rings for dinner. $100 we spent on three sides and three drinks still left us hungry. We followed up with a couple bad slices of pizza from another joint a couple blocks away to deal with the hunger pangs. So disappointed with the food situation. Even with the $50 dining credit, it wasn’t worth it. Read less

Walk inside and the decor is chic and fun, very artistic and nicely done. There is a game room lounge upstairs with a ping pong table, pool table, shuffleboard, 2 pinball machines, and a couple TV's. Beds are comfortable. Good value. This Hotel is located 1/2 block south on 5th St from the main Powell St BART train station, and its back is against a nice mall with great shopping, just walk out the door to the right and enter the mall. The mall has a Bloomingdales and a good food court. Located 1 block from Target and AMC movie Theater. Walking distance to Union Square and Financial district. Walk to Oracle Park was not bad, but better to take a bike. There are multiple Bay Wheels (LYFT) bike racks within a block or 2, an excellent way to get around the city, with plenty of ebikes to choose from. Easy few min ride to Embarcadero which you can take all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge in about 20 min on an ebike. Easy walk to China Town. Read less

We picked this spot because it seemed different than your typical big chain and it was a close to a mile to our son (who we were in town to visit). Our first night in town we were able to play games before heading out to dinner. It was a great space to feel like we could relax and live for a few days. Read less

I don't mind paying what a room is worth, but hidden fees are a scam. Avoid, or at least add $35/day to the property when comparing price/quality.

I wqs just there with my dog for 2 nights this last weekend for my birthday. I have to say Natalie was one of the most personable staff members to check me in. I dont remember the other ladies name it begins with a “c” im blanking but they were both amazing and even extended me for a late check out because I slept late.
