We stayed in the California Suite at the Mark Hopkins and it was an amazing experience. The suite was spectacular with big windows overlooking Nob Hill. We could see Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. The suite included a massive great room with a comfortable sofa and seating for at least ten. There was a separate dining room with a large table and chairs and a guest bathroom off of the great room. The first bedroom had two comfy queen beds and a beautiful spacious bathroom. The master bedroom was enormous with a huge bathroom that included a spa tub and a double shower. The suite was immaculate- very clean and pristine. All of the staff at the hotel were helpful and professional. It was a weekend to remember.

He was just the perfect welcome to the start of our stay. I could listen to his voice and Ric's voice all day. They are calm, classy, vibrant, and just soothing! I've never felt so fancy and welcomed. From all of the concierge/bell/valet/Top of the Mark host/ servers/housekeeping (I wish I got all their names), they went above to make you feel special in an extra special historical place. From opening doors, greeting you. Nothing over the top in your face too much caffeine/ingenuity, just doing & enjoying their job vibe. From other reviews, the rooms may feel dated but I completely disagree. Every aesthetic felt like it was intentional to the historic feel. Very disappointed in my stay. I used to stay here quite frequently and I will have to say the service has taken a sharp decline. The rooms are dated. I will look elsewhere my next stay. Unless you want to go to the lobby and fill your own bottle water and the lady at the front desk is less than friendly or helpful. No one was overly friendly other than the staff at the Top of Mark who were wonderful.

No, just no. Do not stay here. Worst IHG experience I have ever had. Room service food was served with visible hair in the salad. Un-edible food. Room was extremely outdated, old, stale and dirty. Marks on walls, hole in bathroom ceiling, hair in the bed and on the bath tub. Will never stay here again.
