Kimpton EPIC Hotel

Miami Beach, Miami

Virgin rating

The hotel

Epic by name and epic by nature, the Kimpton Epic sits along the water’s edge, overlooking the glistening Biscayne Bay. Take a dip into one of the two rooftop pools, and sip on a cocktail in your private poolside cabana. Seeing as you’re set on the waterfront, seafood is a must, and you can dine looking out on the sea itself. In need of some me-time? Head to the spa for a treatment, or try your hand at a yoga class. And when the evenings roll in, head out and experience one of Miami’s cool bars, or retreat to your room for some down-time.

Jean Baptise at the valet went out of his way to put my luggage in my uber and assist me when leaving. The hotel was great in a prime location and had a beautiful gym and pool plus 2 amazing spots to eat at. Will definitely be coming back to the Epic!

This review really is for valet. Jean-Baptiste was so personable and friendly. Every day, when I saw him, he offered excellent customer service — asked me how my day was going and what I planned for the evening. He’s truly awesome. Keep him, Kimpton!

Great stay post cruise. Hotel kindly let us check in at 11am, our room was on the 26th floor, good size room with large bathroom, balcony and two queen sized beds. Hotel facilities are excellent, reception and lobby were very nice areas and staff very attentive. We used the pool on the 16th floor and found this a lovely place to relax, towels provided and a bar/restaurant next to pools. Hotel was very clean. Location was great, we walked to the bayside area around 20 mins walk. My only gripe is no coffee maker in the room, I ordered a Tea on room service, wasn’t cheap but did come with honey and lemon. There was tea and coffee offered in the lobby each morning but with kids it’s just so much easier to make in the room. We didn’t use the spa or gym but facilities there also look very good. We would definitely stay again. Read less
