The facilities, the rooms and the total overlooking are indeed like that; but the dining experience was nothing close to this and was very disappointing. We stayed at the hotel for two nights in July on a full board weekend. The staff were welcoming, the atmosphere was great but the menu during the meals was boring, didn’t change much, some hot dishes weren’t hot and the overall dining was disappointing. Desserts were good, but that’s basically the only thing I could point out as a plus. Read less

I am just ending my 6 day stay at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem. I cannot say enough good things about my stay here . I have stayed in most of the big name hotels here in Jerusalem and although all my stays were pleasant, this hotel was special. The hotel is old and steeped in history, but kept up to date with everything in beautiful condition. It has stunning grounds, with a huge spectacular swimming pool, comfortable padded lounges and lovely kiddie pool , cabanas for rental , a lovely restaurant that is poolside and spectacular grounds . The lobby always has fresh flowers and very comfortable seating. My room was very large , in perfect condition with a beautiful view of the old city and the pool . The air conditioner was in perfect condition. The shower was like a spa . The bed and bedding were very comfortable. The nicest part of all was how the staff treats you. A warm welcome and constant attention to all your needs . I have never experienced such friendliness in any other hotel anywhere before . A warm hug and shout out to Jeremy Weiss , the concierge, who helped me with all my requests and needs . Shawqi was a wonderful tour guide , always with a smile and always happy to see me . Yardena was also always warm , always smiling and wanting to help . I have never experienced that in any other hotel . I recommend this hotel for its charm and ambiance that you don’t get anywhere else . I am hoping to come back very soon . Read less
