Le Meridien New Orleans

New Orleans, Louisiana

Virgin rating

The hotel

Deep in downtown, Le Méridien New Orleans presents The Big Easy in all its glitzy glory. After a mega-million dollar refit, it mixes the city’s refined style and sense of fun, with pops of yellow and blue, music-inspired accessories, and reflections of New Orleans in its photography. Location’s key of course – it’s just 100 metres from Bourbon Street and Harrah’s Casino, and 300 metres from the French Quarter. And they’ve teamed up with The Sweat Social to bring you running tours, Priority Bicycles to offer bike hire, and three incredible art museums to give you complimentary entry. Returning to base, you can swim in the rooftop pool, dine on Deep South inspired dishes at LMNO, and take time out in The Hub – a café-come-bar with complimentary WiFi, a New American menu, and an evening aperitif hour featuring sparkling cocktails.

I will start off with the positives. The location is amazing! Walking distance from anywhere you want to be in New Orleans. Mother's restaurant right across the street. If you have a high floor room, you will have a wonderful view. When you arrive, you will be waiting for about 15 minutes for Valet to arrive. There is only one working elevator, at… Read more

If you have a high floor room, you will have a wonderful view. When you arrive, you will be waiting for about 15 minutes for Valet to arrive. There is only one working elevator, at least when I was there. It smells like something that is legal in 24 states, but not Louisiana itself. Marriott brought me there, I will look at other options next time. Read less

This location has some of the best staff in the country. From the great front desk agents( Valerie, Emerson, Shannon and Coco). To the great vibes at the bar from the best bartender( Saralynn)! If you’re staying in New Orleans this is the place to be.

Jihad at the bar is a wealth of knowledge and is very good at his job ( great drinks) . A little concerning that out of four elevators only one working but fast check in nice people at reception. The river view is really a river view. I will update after our stay so far a great experience thank you.

We stayed here while on vacation and the hotel was very good, all staff were very friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast had great options, workout space is very nice for most hotels and the pool area is nice, it is a smaller space but nice to use in the heat! Great location to the many downtown great spots of New Orleans!
