The hotel

The Rio Las Vegas has been reborn, and it's still just as iconic, with generously-sized rooms featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and jaw-dropping views of Las Vegas Valley. Seemingly inspired by the Strip’s global ‘landmarks’, the Rio’s array of restaurants take you on a worldwide tour, from the Asian flavours of its dim sum, all-you-can-eat Indian buffets, and the hearty American favourites of VooDoo Steakhouse, which takes in the glitz of Vegas from its 50th floor vantage point. And if that's not enough, you've got the newly opened Canteen Food Hall too! With a fully revamped pool area featuring 5 different pools, the recent upgrades to this hotel make it a real game changer when it comes to great value Vegas hotels. Rediscover the enchantment that defines the essence of Rio, amongst the rhythm of Vegas.

I only ever stayed here once but I was a regular visitor whenever I was in Vegas. Due to a flight cancellation I ended up back here for one night only. 300 bucks for a 1700 sq ft suite should have been the first sign. Man what a complete and absolute shambles this hotel has become. Not exaggerating when I would suggest a roadside motel might have better upkeep. The room carpets were patched by masking tape, only one elevator was working in a tower bank, no room service past like 11 (in a city that doesn’t sleep?), lack of cleanliness everywhere. I could go on. I hate to dump on a hotel but man it’s almost like they just stopped caring. I appreciate rhe hotel has been sold and a full reno is coming but jeez it can’t come soon enough. Would give it zero stars if TA permitted. Read less

Once into the week it got quiet and most of the shops and restaurants were closed. my only thing I had to say if you are buying stuff in the hotel, it can be a little pricey. Plus a lot of rebuilding was going ahead. So do be aware if coming to this hotel. Also with the temperatures outside, using a car or taxi is a must. To walk the distance to the strip would not suit most with the heat. Read less

Spent the 4th of July weekend at Rio and it was great. Given that it was hot, 106-116, it was still enjoyable. Spent time at the pool area where it didn't feel hotter than maybe 100 but the pools were cool. There were 3 of them. We also had a perfect view of the ceasers fire works show in the room. We didn't have to deal with the crowd.

Nicely refinished rooms. Comfy couch to watch tv. Though the casino is still being refinished, it was still a nice place to play. High Limit area had great cocktail service.
