Had a terrible experience with the Bell team. Asked for a meter taxi to Wat Pho. When I arrived no meter and was asked for 500 baht (200 maximum) brought this to the hotel’s attention and they basically said they did not believe me. At least 3 different accounts of what happened. Please do not stay here if you are new to Thailand. They should not be trusted to take care of you. Because they won’t. There is always another bus tour or conference to fill their rooms. Stay elsewhere.

hotel has two swimming pools, a sun
terrace overlooking the river and four
excellent restaurants. The Royal Orchid
is short sky train stops away from the
vast fabulous Bangkok shopping centre
and s few stops along the klong by ferry
to Jim Thompson’s house now a museum.
The hotel boat takes guests to various
stops including the sky train. The public
ferry sails along the river to popular ferry
stations Chinatown and the Royal Palace.
