Sushi Restaurant was amazing, breakfast was good, but I would advise getting out and experiencing a diner breakfast, this was kind of a grab and go rather than an indulgent American experience, but good all the same! The staff could not have been more obliging, special mentions go to Jessica, Lina, Anan, Vichnet and Edna who llokied after us well and Edna who kept our room lovely even staying late one day to ensure we had the most comfort from our surroundings. I will 100% choose to stay here again, central, reliable, helpful and efficiently run, I had to have my pillows change, allergic to feathers, boom someone was there, w needed halp to figure out the safe, ping someone was there, and when we struggled to work out our A/C heating panel, we roorted at the desk, when we arrived back that evening all was sorted! Thank you all, we loved our visit and largely that was down to knowing we were comfortable, safe and mattered! Read less

The rooms, although slightly on the small side, are more than adequate and comfortable, after all you're not going to NY to stay in a hotel room all the time!!!! We stayed in a double double room this time, as we were traveling with my partners 17 year old daughter, and had a door separating the bathroom - our first experience at the Sanctuary in February 2024, was a queen room and the shower was separated with a glass wall with a curtain, which wasn't a problem for us as a couple. We've never had a problem here and the staff are very welcoming, we love having the continental breakfast every morning, buffet style, very useful to fill up before going out to explore this wonderful city. Our rooms were cleaned everyday, towels changed. Yes, it was a little noisy when the window was opened, but what do you expect when you're only a minute away from Times Square and not forgetting it really is the city that never sleeps. Before I go, I'd like to say a very big thank you to Vichet & Jonathan who were polite, friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel if you want somewhere that's close to everything, clean and comfortable Read less

The staff at the Sanctuary Hotel are absolutely amazing! Very chic, location is outstanding and the overall service is exceptional. The local knowledge that all staff are able and willing to share is invaluable and nothing is too much trouble. If you are looking for a hotel on Times Square with great service, this is the one for you!

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Sanctuary. We were expecting our rooms to be much smaller and found the size of room absolutely fine. We were rarely in the room but everything worked, they were very comfortable and clean and we slept really well in extremely comfortable beds. Admittedly the hotel decor would not be to everyone's taste and the lack of natural light/view was slightly disappointing but as we were actually in the hotel for breakfast and sleep only, we saw as much of the view as we needed when out and about. The air conditioning was slightly noisy but didn't stop me sleeping and it worked really well, unlike some systems where it is uncontrollable. The daily amenities charge did not apply for Virgin customers, so the tea, coffee and water in reception 24/7 and access to the wi-fi was not an issue for us and worked well. The showers were a great size and the complimentary toiletries were very good, with plenty of towels always available. The only noise we heard was from unruly Brits in the corridor (twice only thankfully), which was very disappointing, otherwise it was very quiet. Admittedly we did not use any of the sushi restaurants (just not keen enough on sushi to choose that kind of restaurant) and I do think they could turn one of the sushi outlets into a less specialised eatery, and the Haven menu just didn't appeal but we found breakfast to be more than we were expecting: white & brown bread, bagels, cream cheese, jams, danish pasties, croissants, cereal, yoghurts, hot & cold breakfast beverages, huge red apples and bananas fresh every day - we certainly found enough to set us for the day. Our only breakfast complaint was that the toasters took several journeys before your bread was actually toasted! We did not have any cause to use the concierge services whilst there but all our queries were answered very promptly and fully when we emailed before our stay. Generally we found the staff to be very helpful and extremely pleasant. Obviously the biggest plus for this hotel is it's location - easy walking distance to so many of the things we wanted to see and very close to the subways too. We do intend to return to NYC and would certainly be happy to stay in The Sanctuary on any return trip. Read less
