Products in the bathroom are provided by byredo restaurant, the contessa is so gorgeous and has views Weird things: I enjoyed my food at the street bar better than at contessa :/ Hotel felt new like they were still working out kinks, but the (new) furniture was already banged up and scraped. The hotel was ranked in the top 3 city hotels in US by the 2023 travel and leisure world best awards, but i've stayed at several better city hotels in my lifetime, maybe i'm missing something. An all round beautiful hotel, superb service and attention to detail. The rooms were very spacious, clean with plenty storage. We had a City King, there was turn down every night with extra water and ice/water on our floor. The Library, for residents, provided water and soda in a fridge to help yourselves, plus other treats. We stayed on a 3 for 2 offer and stayed 6 nights. The staff were friendly, especially in the Street Bar where the cocktails were great and the burger was amazing! The location is spot on for exploring the city, with the Common in front of the hotel and Back Bay with its restaurants and coffee shops. Read less

The service level was above and beyond. Perfect attention to the finest details. I have never felt so pampered. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. I was very pleased with every part of this stay from valet parking to check out. Highly recommend!

My wife and I spent four days/nights at this luxury hotel. The hotels location is perfect, right next to Boston Common. ALL of the employees that we interacted with at the Newbury are extremely friendly and helpful. Our positive interactions started with Shea at the front desk. We were very fortunate to get into our room early. David, our concierge, helped us reserve a table at the Contessa. The Contessa is the Newbury’s first class restaurant on the 17th floor. David also advised us regarding appetizers and entrees. His recommendations were spot on. The other dining option, called the Street Bar provides breakfast and lunch options without requiring reservations. Our server, Conch, provided us with tasty food choices as well as local area points of interest. Even our housekeeping staff was prompt, thorough and friendly. If you choose to stay at this first class hotel, you can expect the doormen and bellmen to smile while getting you settled in. We would highly recommend that you choose this hotel in Boston if you enjoy being treated extremely well. First class describes this hotel to a T. Read less
