The hotel

A luxurious, landmark waterfront hotel, Westin ensures your every comfort is met at the Harbour Castle. Beautifully appointed guest rooms with Westin’s signature Heavenly Bed and Bath offer a welcome retreat at the end of a busy day spent sightseeing. There’s also a heated indoor swimming pool in which to wallow and the WESTIN Workout Gym, overlooking the picturesque Toronto Islands — enough to inspire anyone to take to the treadmill! Afterwards, recline in the whirlpool or, if you’ve still energy to spare, perhaps a game of tennis or squash may tempt you. There are plenty of restaurants close by but highly recommended are both the hotel’s eateries. The Mizzen serves exquisite à la carte dishes alongside a very tempting buffet. The SuperFoods menu features revitalizing dishes made from healthy ingredients rich in nutrients, antioxidants and delicious taste so you can feel energized and at your best all day. If you're looking for something a bit more chilled, retire to the Chartroom Bar and Lounge where you can grab a local brew and a range of dishes, throughout the day.

The rooms were very nice and clean. The service was nice. There was no concierge lounge but we were given free breakfast vouchers instead. The spread was very large and lovely. The breakfast was normally $33CAD plus gratuities. Location is great for Scotia Bank arena events as well as the harbor, CN tower and lots of restaurant. Quick and easy to… Read more

I was in Toronto for a conference so the hotel was not booked by me. The location is great in the heart of downtown Toronto. The bar and restaurant are very nice as well. The building is not so new so there may be nicer options around. The hotel also have a convention center but the one I was attending wasn’t hosted there.

Don’t waste your money on a lake view room. Apparently, a view of the industrial area and half the shoreline of Toronto is considered a lake view by Marriott/Westin standards. I paid extra to get a hotel near the lake and even more extra to have a view of that lake. Don’t waste your money.

The common areas are attractive, and the room I had was nice enough. The location is right on the Lake ... take that how you like, it's rather pretty, but to get to much of Toronto's fun, it's a walk. Now, the internet is bad. Quite poor. It's strong all right, but it's clearly overmatched by the crowd using it. It goes into these minute-long… Read more

The location is right on the Lake ... take that how you like, it's rather pretty, but to get to much of Toronto's fun, it's a walk. Now, the internet is bad. Quite poor. It's strong all right, but it's clearly overmatched by the crowd using it. It goes into these minute-long fugues where it seems the pipe is too narrow and it's serving someone else ... it'll get back to you when it can. I'll also cavil about the status recognition: I'm a Platinum and kind of expect something for that at a pricy hotel, but here all I got was a denial of a late checkout, a room right next to the ongoing and loud construction, a kinda unctuous desk clerk ... and a key-card folder that said "elite member " on it. I'll also point out a bit of weirdness: If you are on foot going to the place, you either walk up the parking ramp, or else you need to mount two flights of outdoor stairs with your luggage. Did the lake level decrease? Otherwise, what were they thinking?? Read less

The service at this hotel was what really made it a great stay. Everyone was very polite and professional. The rooms were both clean. The beds were very comfortable. The location was great. The breakfast buffet was average. The kids really enjoyed the pool.
