We liked the location of the hotel and most of the staff was very friendly. BUT we were very disappointed about the room. When you pay around 300 per night (incl pet fee) you're expecting something. We liked the location of the hotel and most of the staff was very friendly. BUT we were very disappointed about the room. When you pay around 300 per night (incl pet fee) you're expecting something. The suite was so depressing with dark grey floors, everything dark, almost no lights (we had to use the iPhone lamp in some cases). On top our view was a concrete high wall some meters from our window. For our two cats we had to pay 100 usd per night! Ridiculous in such a evacuation situation. When I asked the receptionist she said there once was an incident with pet poop/puke on the wall. Well, you could do a deposit of 200 per booking for these kind of case and use if really needed. But come on, for 4 nights we had to pay 400 (ex vat) on top for just the cats! And the cleaning couple were afraid to come in the room. So we only had one time a cleaning in 4 days, only the sit area of the room (cats in bedroom). The cleaning couple (sweet people though) had a storage room at the same floor that had door open for most of the day. You couldn't pass without looking in an extremely dirty room, dirt all over the floor. As a hotel you should also clean this kind of areas and also make an elevator look well maintained. Only after (!) booking the hotel a message was sent that the restaurant was closed. That felt a bit being tricked. For us booking a hotel with a restaurant - and meeting there our evacuated co-workers - seemed like a big plus. Why not mention this clearly on top of the description of your hotel? Read less

I arrived at the TRYP Wyndham at 11pm after a six-hour drive, evacuating from Florida due to Hurricane Milton, with my service dog. The front desk staff insisted on charging a $50 pet fee, despite me explaining that my dog is a service animal. I arrived at the TRYP Wyndham at 11pm after a six-hour drive, evacuating from Florida due to Hurricane Milton, with my service dog. The front desk staff insisted on charging a $50 pet fee, despite me explaining that my dog is a service animal. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, it’s *illegal* to require proof of a service animal, such as a vest, or to charge fees for them, but she refused to acknowledge this. Despite me offering to show the official letter from my doctor and then offering to pay the fee just to get my room, she canceled my reservation, leaving me stranded with nowhere to stay at 11pm at night alone with my dog. I ended up at the Cambria hotel next door, where they were kind and quickly helped me. The treatment I received at TRYP Wyndham was not only inappropriate but a violation of federal law. I am disgusted, I have never been treated this way ever. Read less

The entrance looks like a service entrance. Front desk: Even though my confirmation email clearly indicated that check-in was at 3 pm, the front desk staff told me that it was 4 pm and that I should wait. Front desk: Even though my confirmation email clearly indicated that check-in was at 3 pm, the front desk staff told me that it was 4 pm and that I should wait. Then, she said that she would give me a room after all. She also made it a heavy point of saying that parking in the public garage across the street was at my own risk. Finding the comment interesting, I asked whether there had been break-ins at that garage. She responded that to her knowledge, there had not been, but the. Snickered again that I was on my own and that management made her say that. Very unprofessional, to say the least. The room: A very sterile room (they have a good photographer!) with a very small window that gave onto a wall. Nothing like the photos on the website. It felt like a jail. Also, there were no cups or glasses in the room, even though there was a coffee maker. That was a first for any hotel. The lockbox was in a location so high that you would need to be 6’ tall to use. The bathroom: Very basic. Missing baseboards, nicked furniture. Temperature: the room was freezing cold and there was no way of turning off the A/C, not at the unit and not at the thermostat. I had to wear a heavy sweatshirt to stand it Clearly, no one cares about details at this property. Read less

I recently stayed at this hotel and was pleasantly surprised by the noticeable improvements under the new management led by Dipal. The customer service has truly stepped up, with the staff going out of their way to ensure that guests feel comfortable and well taken care of. You can feel the genuine concern for the guest experience. One of the things that stood out to me was how quickly the staff responded to any observations or requests. Whether it was a small issue in the room or a question about services, everything was addressed promptly and efficiently. It’s clear that there’s a renewed focus on making sure that everything is running smoothly and functioning properly. It’s refreshing to see that under Dipal's leadership, the hotel is making significant strides in improving not only the service but also the overall atmosphere. I’m confident that with this new approach, they’re on the right path to becoming one of the top choices in the area. Highly recommend staying here, especially now with the positive changes in motion!
