Worse yet, you end up waiting in line to get a table, waiting for the food, and waiting for the bill (which is obserdly expensive $20 for oatmeal???). The ultimiate insult is the business center (which I had to use when my PC broke down). They have the nerve to charge $30/hour for the PC and paper is $0.50/page (if I remember correctly). This feels like a setup to take advantage of their guest - it's certainly not a level of support that I have come to expect from Marriott. I don't know who they plan on hosting at W, but I recommend that business travelers skip this one. Read less

The property is in a great location if you are there to see major sights and attractions. It is also conveniently located if you are attending a Giants baseball game. The rooms have the signature W design, which I happen to like but they may not be for everyone. However, the rooms are definitely showing wear and tear. The property recently installed water bottle refill stations on every floor, which is great. The hotel gym is fantastic, if you plan to use it; I was impressed by the space and the available equipment. The hotel charges a Destination Fee, so make sure you are getting full use out of everything that the fee includes. The front desk should have a card or a QR code you can scan that lists all the current amenities. Speaking of the front desk, Sean deserves a shout-out. He was awesome at check-in and very helpful. I'm so glad we booked this hotel! Everyone on the staff - from the front desk to the bellman to the servers at Trace - were very friendly and helpful. The woman who checked us in made my daughter feel very welcome and gave her personal attention -- something that always goes a long way with me & my husband. The room had a fantastic view of the city, the beds were actually comfortable (something we often don't find). My ONLY wish is that they could find a way to fit 2 queen beds instead of 2 doubles... and/or find a way to allow a rollaway in the king sized rooms. A double bed is nearly impossible for 2 adults to sleep in. Like other reviewers, I really dislike the $40/day "destination fee". It forced us to eat at the restaurant every morning so we could earn the credit back. We would've loved to save money having breakfast elsewhere at least a few days. Overall, great experience and we would definitely stay there again! Read less

JP is the man! We love this stay but customer service is exemplified by JP. Give Themis man a promotion because your business is run effectively by how JP helps his guests. He jumped right up and helped at a moments notice. Who does that!? Good man, nice guy, a role model for all other hotel employees. Great guy!!!

Stayed here for a couple of days. The hotel is nice but it feels like it has changed ownership. I was told as a Marriott elite I didn’t get breakfast. Stayed here for a couple of days. The hotel is nice but it feels like it has changed ownership. I was told as a Marriott elite I didn’t get breakfast. This was news to me so I had to look it up all online to find it was wrong. When I told the hotel they made it right. The room had one window shade that was broken but they sent someone up to fix it. Only other challenge was the AC turns itself off in the middle of the night (presumably to save energy). It means the room doesn’t run cold at night but it does during the day. The products in the hotel are really nice. The breakfast was a limited Bonvoy menu but the food was exceptionally good. I’d stay here again as its nice and central, but I wonder what’s happened to the staff. Read less
