The hotel

This glamourous bay-side residence sits on a curve of Vancouver Harbour facing stunning Stanley Park — giving you incredible views and incredible access to this urban utopia. You can explore the park like locals with The Westin Bayshore’s complimentary bikes (if you’re not tempted off-track by cycling expeditions like their tantalisingly titled ‘Craft Beer Tour’). This being a Westin hotel, they’ve included other sporty freebies like RunWESTIN jogging routes, YogaWESTIN sessions, and a WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio. If sport isn’t your game, there’s always spa treatments, a soak in the chic circular pool (perfectly positioned by the harbour’s boardwalk, and your room’s ‘Heavenly’ bed and bath. And, after the sightseeing, the sports, or the simple relaxation, you can take your seat in the H2 Rotisserie and Bar to enjoy seasonal cuisine and views of Coal Harbour and the North Shore Mountains.

The front desk staff and valets were attentive and genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs. We had a corner room, overlooking the harbor and Stanley Park, with a balcony, which was ideal on the nice days we had. While you don't hear much noise from other guests, the soundproofing from outside leaves much to be desired. In addition, while they do have blackout curtains, the gaps on the top made them less than perfect. If you don't mind these inconveniences the hotel was terrific. Read less

All in all I highly recommend the hotel. Read less

The Bayshore is one of my favourite hotels. We had a nice room on the 10 th floor overlooking the marina. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a shower. I didn’t really like it as it sprays outside the shower enclosure as there is no door. The big negative was the hotel was at capacity and extremely difficult in getting a chair at the pool and a very long wait for a table at breakfast. On other occasions when we stayed at the Bayshore this was the same problem. It was my wife’s birthday and the hotel sent up a bottle of champagne and a delicious slice of cake. The titanium breakfast is now limited to the continental breakfast only from the full buffet. If we want the full buffet it is an extra $9 I think this is cheap as to get to titanium elite we need to stay up to 75 nights annually and we stay loyal for these benefits and we spend a lot of our personal money. I prefer Sheratons as they have a club lounge and offer a full breakfast and evening appetizers. I think if Westins are cutting back on benefits I will look for other options. Read less

Nice hotel but our room looked out onto a brick wall and noisy seagulls most of the night. Lovely facilities though and staff friendly. Very late cleaning of room on some days. Great having a fridge but no kettle only a coffee maker. Room price was high given the room with poor air conditions and location of room.

Flavia received us at check in and she made sure that we had everything we needed, explained to us new things to explore in Vancouver, and was very knowledgeable of the hotel and the area. We were really lucky to receive all her useful information. The buffet breakfast was delicious as well as the H2 kitchen and H2 Bar food and beverages. We loved that the hotel offered complementary bikes to ride about the city. All the staff was amazing, the rooms were cleaned daily, and we even had a problem with the shower draining that was fixed in less than expected. Wonderful hotel, wonderful city and wonderful stay.
