Nice resort in general for a moderate resort , grounds around accommodation blocks a bit unkept and untidy and the guttering blocked by debris so stairs very wet and slippy from dripping water when it has rained , but suppose this may be the look as it is riverside ,stayed in crocodile bayou section , quite pool over run with bugs and kept getting bitten which was annoying , main pool nice but quite busy , magnolia bend may have suited us a bit better, though location we were given could not fault as we were block 14 which is right next to the lobby , main pool and quiet pool , boats , bus stop and all amenities so excellent location. Main quick service dining area was spacious and offered good selection , boat service to springs and french quarters very nice little journey and friendly drivers , quick efficient check in , rooms cleaned every other day . Main downside of resort for us was the size of the room , for what we paid we would have expected it to be a little bigger , we had two adults and two teenagers ( so more a less 4 adult sized people ) , room definitely not big enough or accommodating for a family of this size / age , maybe ok with two small children . No storage room or room to put clothes , bathroom tiny , would probably choose to stay outside of Disney next time due to this reason and people should be aware of how small rooms are for 4 ( adult sized people ) when booking , bit annoying as other than size of room and small negatives points above everything else was great . Port Orleans was our very first resort we stayed at back in the mid 80's. This was a reminiscing vacation with family. Love the grounds. Absolutely beautiful. Food court has excellent food. Also enjoyed River Roost in the evening with our favorite waiter, Jerry. Bob at the piano was so energetic and entertaining.

The facility looks beautiful, but the rooms are old, dark and dreary, super small; tiny dark bathrooms. The Comfort Suites were much larger and nicer. Would not recommend or stay here again. There’s not even a microwave so it forces you to buy the expensive food on site.

Had a lovely 10 nights at this resort. Beautiful setting and very peaceful after a day in the parks. No issues with busses and the quiet pools were very quiet! Great food court. The usual Disney standards so very clean. Were offered adjoining rooms as had booked 2 rooms for our family of four. This made a great difference to us, adding just that… Read more

-Housekeeper went through my belongings and used my brush and straighteners whilst I was in the theme park. -Diabolical communication thereafter to get this resolved and I was sent from pillar to post trying to seek a resolution - Absolutely incompetent and careless staff. -Checked me in 2 hours late after a 13 hour trip from the UK - Had a knock on effect and ruined all plans that evening inc late for dining reservation and missing the fireworks. Plus not one single room request was acknowledged. -Injured my foot and their reaction to this and their supplies were severely inadequate, they didn't even have bandages. -I have been following up with the guest experience team for the past 2 months trying to seek fair compensation to which I have not been offered after tedious negotiations and their service has been nearly as appalling as Port Orleans Riverside. THANK YOU FOR RUINING MY FIRST EVER DISNEY TRIP! Read less
