There's a real resort feel to this Mission Bay hotel. On a 14-acre peninsula, the views are quite something, and you’re just steps from the the calm bay waters. Head to the white sandy beach and grab yourself a beach cabana or take a stroll through the lush tropical gardens. Image of the Tripadvisor rating Reservation personnel, as in Renee Stauffer was great

Nov 24, 2024 JimL_in_SD San Diego, CA

We have stayed at the Bahia on a number of occasions and have always had a wonderful experience. This time our experience was enhanced by Renee Stauffer who was so patient with our family and our multiple reservations. Patience is a virtue though not everyone has it. Thank you Renee, and Bahia staff, we will be back!

Martin at the front desk, met us with a welcoming smile and an eccentric personality. He noticed that our accommodations were a little far from the convention hall so he gladly moved us closer. This review is here to highlight the sometimes under appreciated staff that bring life to the real estate that is hotels.

First night we were up from 3:30am to 4:30am with drunk/loud people near us (called security at 4am); garbage trucks started at 5am. (they moved us to a new room the next night) Old rundown- rooms need tlc on paint, baseboards, grout; showers didn’t work well; microwave and coffee maker didn’t work. Refrigerator shelves broken. Restaurant was expensive and dinner meals the 4 of us had were not great Overpriced Resort fees are a ripoff in the winter when you can’t use most of the facilities Read less

I had a really lovely stay at this hotel for 6 nights.. The staff were extremely accommodating and the front of house staff were excellent. This hotel is perfect for families. It's a large resort with a great pool that opens very late, but you have the option of your using their private secluded and safe bay beach with cabanas. The little shop was fantastic that stocked everything from sandwiches, chips, chocolate, swimwear and of course souvenirs. The hotel offers various room choices. I opted for a king, which was huge and a massive balcony that overlooked the bay. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The onsite restaurant served a great choice of food with great breakfasts and dinner choices for both adults and children. The location of this hotel is less than 5 mins walk to both Mission Beach, with its promenade boardwalk to Pacific Beach, which allows easy access to miles of yellow sand as well as Belmont Park. If you are looking for a beach hotel which is reasonably priced, this hotel is a great option. Read less
