The hotel

There's a real resort feel to this Mission Bay hotel. On a 14-acre peninsula, the views are quite something, and you’re just steps from the the calm bay waters. Head to the white sandy beach and grab yourself a beach cabana or take a stroll through the lush tropical gardens. The pool is a great spot too and the huge hot tub is just the ticket on a cooler evening. Don't miss an evening cruise around the bay on the Bahia Belle paddle steamer — there’s drinks, live entertainment and views galore.

Normally don’t write reviews, but Yandel at the front desk made our anniversary a perfect celebration. He helped us find the perfect room and made great suggestions for activities and dining. The room was clean and comfortable. The resort had all the amenities we were looking for.

Lovely. Classy and a beauty location after a not so great night at our suite in another hotel booked for a conference. Problems with mold and no other room available. Early check in, great brunch and beautiful area of San Diego. Highly recommend it!

The hotel itself was relatively quiet, although there was construction going on right under our room and it started very early in the morning. That’s not exactly the noise you want to hear when you’re on vacation! We also had problems getting housekeeping for some reason. I never did figure out why that was. The Dockside Restaurant was wonderful! The wait staff was excellent; food and drinks were delicious! I did have a chance to visit the pool and hot tub area. There were plenty of chairs and towels. Going in the off-season is definitely the way to go! I wouldn’t hesitate to book a return visit to this resort. Read less
