Overall, we had an excellent vacation at Beaches Turks & Caicos. We initially had an issue with the room we were given not matching the room category we originally booked. However, the Concierge (Judith) addressed this promptly and moved us to a different room that fully met our expectations. The property itself is beautiful and well maintained. The water views of Grace Bay are amazing! The food and drinks were good.....but not exceptional. Everything seemed fresh and there was plenty of variety to choose from. We upgraded to add on Spa services, Catamaran Sunset Cruise and Candlelight Dinner. We highly recommend all three of these. Read less

Letting Beaches manage my room was a mistake. 11K for a room with broken furniture, what I think are blood stains on the floor, magically cleaned when reported, and squeaky fans. You may be able to buy into luxury but NOT everything is luxury as advertised on their website. Food was good with a lot of choices. Ice cream is localized to one area which was far from the beach...kids did not enjoy that. Activates were ok, not much excitement. You have to go to the actives not many by the pools. Staff were nice when you spoke to them, but not everyone seemed happy, but I understand they have a tough job. Overall, not worth the money spent in my opinion. Read less

We had high hopes and expectations for Beaches Turks and Caicos after hearing our friends rave about this all-inclusive for years. Alas, we were disappointed. The Good 1. Lots of activities, from the waterpark (surfing simulator!) to fantastic beaches. 2. Lots of food options, from the surprisingly good Japanese/sushi spot (Soy) to the Mac n Cheese truck (multiple visits daily by the kids). In addition to Soy, other restaurants worth mentioning include Le Petit Chateau (French - foi gras!) and Kimonos (Teppanyaki - fun!). 3. A couple standards for great service - Javain (Mario Restaurant) was attentive, cheerful and went out of his way to help us orient ourselves early in the trip and Ali (Soy Restaurant) was also friendly and attentive. Javain and Ali stood out as excellent representatives of Beaches. Both exemplified the level of service that should be provided by Beaches staff. The Bad 1. Service...was generally awful. Staff rarely smiled or greeted guests (unlike virtually every other Caribbean resort we have visited). Some openly displayed contempt or annoyance when asked for basic things (like reordering a drink or to make an omelette...at the omelette station!?). Service was also exceptionally slow. Breakfast at Neptunes took a full hour from placing the order to receiving the food; note that it was also 20 minutes from being seated to being asked for our orders. Similar experiences occurred at the Mac n Cheese truck and Bobby Dees where orders would take 45min+ even when not busy (off meal times). 2. Excursion are expensive! Skip the Catamaran snorkelling tour (Kitty Kat). Not worth US$150 pp for 3 hours. Besides being expensive, the experience was not worth it. 30 minutes of actual snorkelling, 30 min on "lizard island" and 15 min jumping/sliding off the boat. 3. Sorry we're out. The resort routinely "ran out" of supplies, like vodka (?!), sparkling wine (even if you wanted to pay for Veuve), etc. They only had mint (for mojitos) on 2 of the 7 days we were on resort. The should be an asterisk beside "all-inclusive". Overall, the value just isn't there. Beaches charges a premium price. I guess that's partly justified by the amenities (waterpark, pools, restaurants). But, the overall value just isn't there. The rooms at the French Villa are tired and the Italian rooms aren't far behind. The service was not even at three-star levels. We travelled with four other families, all of whom were repeat guests (one was "emerald" level having been back six times. This would be their last visit. If we go back, it would only be because the kids really enjoyed the parks and pools. Read less

I’m a newer travel agent that has never traveled to any of the Beaches Resorts before now but have been promoting and pricing them to clients….NEVER AGAIN!!!!! I also want to note that I’ve been trying to share my horrible experience at this resort in Beaches forums, FB groups etc so others don’t waste their money and EVERY single one of my posts has been removed and I have been blocked from most of the groups. Hopefully that won’t happen here. My parents asked me to help them plan their 50th wedding anniversary trip for our family of 13. This resort was top on their list and after doing some research and reading these exact reviews on here, I did advise my mom against this resort but in the end it’s what she felt was the best pick. Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin. Besides the airport check-in and pick up and then the check-in at the concierge lounge for Italian Village, which is where we stayed, there is nothing else positive I can say. We walked out of that concierge office to our rooms and I felt we were immediately thrown into this very false reality of what they advertise. It was then that I realized we were #suckers! Almost 60k down the drain. We had three families-13 total, all in the Italian Village and all paid about $17-$18,000 per family for the week not including airfare. We were expecting luxury for that amount of money and what we actually got as my husband says, maybe a two star experience at best! 1st and definitely most unsettling…resort employees offered my kids drugs!!!!! The room smelled musty and was in need of repair. Our suitcases and all of our clothes smelled musty when we returned home. The grout was dirty and disgusting, the tile was stained in spots, the shower ceiling was falling apart, the front of the shower was soft and brown/mold from water damage, the shower had a white dirty shower curtain (not even a glass door for 18k?!), the AC was very inconsistent and didn’t work in any of our rooms most of the time and they couldn’t fix, the walls were covered in dust and lint from the air conditioning unit, the bushes in front of our unit had a lottery ticket, empty water bottles and a woman’s pad wrapper laying in the grass right in front of our walk up patio. Trying to get our mini fridge restocked with water was a chore. We never had drinks and when we would ask for a restock, they would tell us they were low and they could only give us a few. I’ve never had to ask at other resorts, it’s just done daily. Everything here was work for the customers that are there to relax and enjoy. Hunting down towels, hunting down drinks and there weren’t snacks for the rooms anywhere. Towards the end of the week we were told that they were out of red wine. 95% of the staff seemed absolutely miserable and as if they hated life. They were rude and mean, and from day one, I heard people complaining about this and found it to be very true myself. The staff makes you feel as if you are bothering and inconveniencing them. I would see them standing around in large groups talking instead of coming up to ask what you wanted to drink or eat. The service was so slow the entire time and very inconsistent. It was impossible to get dinner reservations before 8:30 and then when we would arrive at 8:30 for our reservations, we would have to wait an additional 30 to 45 minutes. The last night we ate at hibachi and our reservation again was for 8:30 but didn’t get seated until 9:15. I literally stood and watched as it took them about 30 minutes to clean off a table and reset it for us after seeing it sit completely empty for 15 minutes as the front hostess was on her phone texting with other staff around her. There were families with reservations 15 to 30 minutes behind us with much younger kids that were not happy either. It was super infuriating and I was embarrassed as I was the travel agent that let them book this disaster. The food was awful and came out cold pretty much every time we ordered something. The thing that was most annoying concerning food was that you could never just walk up to somewhere and grab something to eat or have someone come to you at the pool and order food or drinks. You had to go somewhere and put in an order and it always took at least 45 minutes. Very frustrating for what you pay!! Again, everything here is work. We could NEVER ever get towels, the towel bins around the pools were always completely empty, and we would have to walk up wet sometimes to the concierge office to request them from behind the counter. It was super hard to find chairs anywhere, but that’s the normal at resorts. The pools and pool bars all seemed pretty dirty and in need of repair and a good scrubbing. There were so many dirty cups floating and in the bottom of the pool or sitting along the edges and nobody was working to come around and collect them. There were used straws, fruit slices and lemon wedges all over the concrete area around the pools as you were getting in. Lots of things floating in the pool including hair getting stuck in our fingers and drink cups and again nobody throughout the day cleaning up these items. I understand when you’re at a kids resort you are going to have these things, but you should also have somebody keeping up after this throughout the day and they did not. It was disgusting and nothing I’ve ever seen at another family resort before. The kids area where they had the pool only had one pool stick, which was broken and when they inquired about another one, the staff was very snippy with them and said they had to use what was available, which was one pool stick. On one of the days my kids and I were floating around the lazy river and came to an opening where there are stairs to get in and out and I saw a resort nanny, asking people if they had seen a little boy. She lost the boy that she was supposed to be watching, and he was swimming alone in the lazy river. Later that day, as I was watching my kids play foosball, I saw the same nanny with the little boy in the kid zone area and the nanny was staring out a window while the little boy was just sitting on a chair doing nothing. There weren’t any activities going on with the child or any playing. Just not what I would expect from a Beaches Resort. We only ever ended up doing the beach one day because there were so many pushy vendors trying to fight for their services. My kids actually videoed three men from three different vendors trying to convince us why we should use their service and then started fighting with each other later on. This went on for probably 15 minutes. They were so incredibly pushy. Oh, and on the very last day about an hour before we had to have our luggage out front of our doors to be picked up and out of our rooms, they decided to start trimming the vine over the pergolas on all three of our rooms and the porches, which had our shoes, bathing suit hanging, snorkel gear, etc. we’re all covered in trimmings. Like they couldn’t wait until checkout time or after to do this. It was very frustrating as we were trying to pack those things up. It’s also crazy to me how when you arrive to the concierge office it’s beautiful, updated, food, and welcome drinks, a diffusing smell coming from the corner with this whole luxury feel and then the departure lounge is stained up couches, vending machines with what looks like makeshift curtains, and a very outdated bathroom. After experiencing everything we did throughout the week it honestly didn’t surprise me, but just wanted to note that as well. There were pros so I don’t want to forget mentioning those: The process at the airport to get on our buses, the check-in process at the hotel and my kids loved the waterslides and the lazy river. Obviously I do not recommend this place. Read less
