The hotel

Your unspoilt slice of paradise, Bequia is rustic yet refined, and remote yet reachable. Just a quick flight from Barbados it couldn’t be further from their tourist trappings – and Bequia Beach Hotel is the very epitome of its untouched beauty. Hidden away in tropical gardens of almond trees, mangos, limes, and papaya, cradling two stunning pools  - one of which being a brand new saltwater infinity pool - it’s not content with just sitting along the glorious sands of Friendship Beach, there's also nearby Princess Margaret Beach, where you can sit above cashmere sands at Jack’s Beach Bar, gazing out at distant boats. A complete one-off, the hotel’s filled with the owner’s travel mementoes, has unparalleled views of distant Grenadine islands, and brings you unforgettable dining by the beach at Bagatelle.

A lovely hotel with a great setting and staff. Bequia isn't the easiest place to get to from the UK, we went Virgin to barbados, then on to St Vincent, stayed over night then the ferry to Bequia. Much though we love Virgin, the BA route via Barbados is better. There isn't loads to do on Bequia, which is perfect, but this hotel is wonderful, grounds well kept and the food most days is amazing, with lots of choice (Bar-B-Que nights twice a week) We were there just at the start of the high season, so still quiet, which we loved. A little rain, but not a lot, and lovely and hot most days. We had a villa with plunge pool which was perfect. Looking at the hotel we suspect that the two main pools would be very busy in high season, and the gym is very small (perfect when we were there) but it may struggle to cope in high season. We didn't use the Spa or the water sports. Beach is nice, not too accessible right in front of the hotel, but perfect further up, near the little beach Bar (owned by the hotel, perfect for a snack lunch). The staff are very "Caribbean" as you would expect, a little shy at first, but they warm up to you quickly and they have the usual wicked sense of humour! Destiny, Siarra & Jonnel really impressed us, they were lovely, friendly and funny and the service overall was excellent. Once they know you they look out for you at Lunch & Dinner. We would really recommend this hotel, nothing really to fault, a perfect "Relax, eat well, and spoil yourself" kind of place. Read less

We had such a wonderful time at The Bequia Beach. The island is amazing and rather old school with no pretensions, fabulous fresh seafood, plenty of rum cocktails, clean, clear sea and the most charming people you could find in the Caribbean. It was like going back in time. And the hotel mirrored this beautifully albeit there was a standard and quality which nodded its head at worldwide grand hotels. We stayed in a Plantation junior suite reminiscent of a colonial past; four poster sumptuous bed to boot. Beautifully decorated and beyond comfortable. The only slight disappointment was the scarcity of vegetarian food and need therefore to venture out most nights for dinner… a lovely thing to do except the the addition of $24 US every night for taxis as the hotel is the other side of the island from town. Only a tad of a complaint! The staff were exemplary - each and every one. Thank you guys!! I loved this hotel. Go. Stay. Read less

This was our 5th trip to BBH. So, it’s one of our favorites. The rooms are gorgeous, beds are comfortable and AC works great. The grounds are maintained everyday. Don’t miss the Sand Bar! Rema at the front office is amazing and will help you in any way.

My wife and I stayed at the Bequia Beach hotel for our anniversary this year. The property, staff and accomodtions were wonderful! The concierge was extremely helpful in identifying/scheduling excursions, spa appointments, transfers, etc. Every morning breakfast is offered with a variety of foods that are savory and is included in your stay. Dinner and Lunch is available on the property and is equally sumptuous. They have a cute beach bar which is an easy walk that serves light fare and beverages. Everyone on the property and on the island were so cheerful and happy to assist in too many ways to mention. We will definitely share our experience with family and friends. Read less
