Virgin rating

The hotel

Get ready to be transported back in time, to a late-1800s New York. With its unique charm, you'll be sure to love Disney's Saratoga Springs the moment you step foot through the front doors. Your surrounds are rolling golf course greens and the calm Lake Buena Vista - sounds tranquil doesn't it? Talking of tranquil, you can treat yourself in the spa, and enjoy evening movies under the stars. But if tranquil isn't your thing, no problem! There's pools and waterslides galore, and you can be in the hustle and bustle of Disney Springs in no time at all, it's just a short boat ride away. If you're holidaying in a family or group, opt for a villa for plenty of room for everyone - the treehouse villas are particularly fun if you've got little ones (or even if you haven't!).

Excellent location for a relaxing stay at Disney. We stayed at the villa and it had everything we could wish for. Beds were very comfortable and spacious, very happy with extra pillows available. The kitchen was well equipped, we only had to buy food. The renovated villas have a lovely modern look to them with a touch of Disney, enough to know you are staying at the park hotel but not too much to feel overwhelmed. As a deluxe resort hotel offers extra Magic Hours and free parking at Disney parks. Perfect location close to Disney Springs, Epcot and Hollywood Studios, a bit longer drive to Magic and Animal Kingdoms but we didn't mind as it was all reasonable. Rooms were cleaned everyday and we were coming back from the parks to find towels and my Disney ears arranged in a new way everyday. Even in July the hotel was quiet and relaxing. It was always a bit of a challenge to find a parking space, but there was always one available. There are pools and golf course but we were spending our days at the parks. The bathrooms have peculiar set up (so many doors!) but once you get used to it it's fine. Brilliant Aircon, it was so pleasant to come back to a cool room after day in the Florida sun! Read less

Amazing stay yet again. Team always impressive. Accommodation always perfect, clean and great beds. Every member of staff is always engaging, polite and can’t do enough for you. Pool was great sadly a few days of thunder so pool closed but plenty to do. So close to Disney springs we walked each day.

He has such a nice, warm & professional demeanor about him, and we are ever so grateful for his very kind gesture. Taylor, who helped check us in to or 3 bedroom grand villa, made everything smooth & seamless. They really take their jobs seriously and learned a thing or two in Disney College ; ) Their customer service is on point, representing the company well, making Disneyworld still the happiest place on earth for us after all these years!!! We'll keep coming back!!! Read less

Overall, I would not recommend the resort. We had a lot of issues including: - we did not get housekeeping the second night. They claimed they got confused and thought we were Disney vacation members. - they told us they would do full housekeeping the next day at 11. We came back at 2 pm and housekeeping was still there which meant they did not arrive on time as promised. Housekeeping did not provide coffee. When we asked front desk if they can send some, they repsonded “if you want some, you need to come get it. We wont take it to your room. Housekeeping should have left it” - The main room bathroom SMELLED LIKE SEWER. We called for them to come look at it and waited over an hour. We called again and they sent someone but they told us they could not give is another room. Overall, this resort is pricey and the customer service and staff are not up to par. The rooms should not have a sewer smell. Read less

This was our 17th trip to a Disney resort, usually we stay at a moderate resort but we decided to try out renting DVC points. We stayed in Congress park (preferred room booked) it was such a quick walk to Disney Springs and also to the main area of the resort. It was also one bus stop away on any parks bus and Disney Springs bus could bring you back but we always walked back. The main food court restaurant had a great variety of foods the ham grilled cheese was a favourite and the fresh pizza that could be customized to have no sauce. We also ate at the Turf Club and the food was enjoyable. There is a small grocery store area that sells frozen foods, bread, milk, bagels, bacon etc. We had bought groceries at the Target but the resorts milk cost was pretty much the same. The Springs pool is the most crowded, hosts the daily games etc, the paddock pool also has a slide and it has a kids splash area and it was less busy, many adults were using the splash pad loungers as the area was very quiet and fenced off from main pool. Our room was a studio with the basic sink, microwave, 4 cup coffee maker, toaster. I did enjoy having the kitchen area especially for washing mugs etc. main items like paper towel, dish soap, dish towel, sponge, 2 paper plates, 2 paper bowls and a few paper cups. It was easy to order bathroom towels and paper cups with hey Disney but that was about it and maxed to 6 per order. Plates, bowls etc were not available with Hey Disney. We used our iPad to cast onto the tv from our home PVR so that was nice. A few things that were a miss there are limited washer machines available if even working. We had 2 in our area and 1 was out of order the entire second week. It was nice that laundry was free so I could use 2 dryers and split the load to have it dried in less time and back to enjoying vacation. Each laundry area is located by the pools however the springs section it’s not right at the pool it’s a short walk away by the community centre. When we had a larger wash we used these machines 4 available and used the community centre and made pottery while we waited. The kiln was down so we had to use acrylic paint instead. Items were $6 each. The other issue we had a large space under our door where there was no weather stripping a gecko or anything could come right in, at night bugs would come in, I used towels to block the crack. We were there during hurricane Helene, I found Disney could have communicated safety info to guests there was nothing. We spent the day under tornado watch and I thought what to do if one hit best location in room to hide (bathroom), is there a shelter somewhere etc. I found they could have provided basic info for those not familiar with severe weather. Other resorts I’ve stayed at during hurricanes also had a daily update left under our door each morning with safety info and Storm updates. Overall we had a great trip and I can’t wait to return.
