The hotel

The wilderness has never been more wonderful than at Disney's Wilderness Lodge! The majesty and grandeur of the great American Northwest echo throughout this relaxing mountain retreat and will appeal to every member of the family. Bubbling springs, authentic Native American carvings and an inspiring décor take you back in time to the historic national park lodges of yesteryear. Scenic wonders are everywhere, from fantastically themed restaurants to an amazing geyser faithfully shooting water 12-storeys high every hour! The kids will love the totem pole in the lobby, carved with all their favourite Disney characters. In fact, there's endless fun to be had here for everyone, both day and night!

What an incredible hotel. I was so sad to leave. The resort is just beautiful. Great facilities for the children with the pool and water play area. We cooked smores in the evening by the fire (they have free marshmallows or you pay for a s’mores kit. A cute ferry ride to Magic Kingdom. You can see the fireworks off the pier of an evening. The staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are absolutely stunning. I am from Australia and one thing I love in America is the pine trees, creeks and wooden lodge style forest accommodation. This is just that. Out of our 10 hotels on this visit, this was my favorite. I hope to return one day 💕 thankyou wilderness lodge for and amazing 4 nights ❤️ Read less

We had previously stayed at the Floridian and Polynesian (many years ago) and decided on the Floridian for our party of ten. Floridian is having major construction across the street, causing a lot of dust, and some lobby store renovation. We decided to try the Wilderness Lodge and were very pleasantly surprised how great it is. The beautiful pools are close by, there are shady areas around the property, the lobby architecture and decor is spectacular, and you get all the fantastic Disney treatment. Going to Magic Kingdom by boat is an added plus. Families will love it. Read less

We splurged for a stay on the concierge level, and enjoyed our time visiting all the parks. We like staying here because of the lodge feel and laid back vibe. All the cast members were so accommodating. Can’t wait to return for another magical visit!

While Grand Floridian is our home base, the unmistakeable coziness of Wilderness has captured our hearts forever. The service in every corner of this resort, Josh at Geyser, Kelli in the Gift shoppe, the housekeeping staff, is just incredible and sets the bar for the rest {Saratoga could take a page from here). This is now our favourite and we will be back! Read less
