VERY outdated and not a 4 star hotel! I’m a gold Hilton Honors member which meant absolutely nothing to them. Our rooms (2 rooms I rented) weren’t ready until 6:00pm. I ONLY gave them 2 stars because the breakfast buffet (not free) had gluten free items done separately for me also the housekeeping manager was amazing! Be aware of the pool bar/pool, I was told it isn’t part of the hotel so your Hilton Honors means NOTHING. The pool bartender, GLENDA, the very utmost rudest person and that’s when we found out about the pool being a separate entity! I’m a worldwide traveler from across Europe, UK, Africa and all the Caribbean islands. Never did I EVER experienced these problems or policies! I also do live in Florida and I did live in Orlando for 23 years! BOTTOM line, stay away from this hotel unless, you love to be in an outdated upgraded room which still looks like the 1990’s! HORRIBLE, flabbergasted and confused also I want out of towers to be aware this hotel has NOTHING GREAT ABOUT IT! Read less

I last stayed at this property in 2019 when it was in need of urgent love and attention, so I stayed again with some trepidation. All of my worries were unfounded. The rooms have since been updated and the service from the staff has become more attentive and valued. We stayed in one of the villa rooms which has since had an updated bathroom and lick of paint to make it feel fresh. The only small downside of a villa room is that the external window overlooks the external corridors (which means that if you’re privacy conscious you can’t really open your curtains in the morning and stay in bed without someone looking in from the net curtains. I’d recommend staying in the Tower if you’d prefer a little more privacy and like to have a morning coffee in bed with the curtains open). But then, a room is just for sleeping, especially as there’s so much to explore in Orlando! Maintaining an older property of this size (I first stayed here in 1999 when it was a Sheraton Hotel) is a huge undertaking for any property team. There was a small maintenance issue with our room, however it was resolved quickly and the team even left us a card to say thank you with an offer of a free warm cookie to say “thank you for helping us”. It’s these small details which really matter as a customer. Our room was kept immaculately clean by housekeeping during our stay and all of the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay - we look forward to coming back again. Read less

Our family booked this hotel through Discovery Cove website as a Sea World partner for a family get away. I typically read reviews before reserving a place but the price was good and the package was perfect for us. When I came and read reviews I was very nervous as there was many negative comments. I am glad I still get my reservation and gave this place a chance. We arrived and had maybe a 10 min wait for check in. Which went smoothly and everything was explained clearly to us. We were located in the tower rooms on the 15th floor so we had a great view. Our room was spacious, beds comfortable and while I'm sure could use a bit of an upgrade the amenities in the room were sufficient (fridge, safe, microwave) . Room was clean as well. It did have a bit of a musty smell to it but Im going with the fact it was July, it was HOT and the humidity was gross. The grounds of the resort are beautiful and kept up well for the most part. The min golf course did become unusable when it rained, it flooded. I will say they need to keep up better with towels at the pools. They were never stocked. We had our own so we used them. The onsite restaurant and market were a great amenity and we had breakfast included which was buffet style but the food was plentiful and good. My only complaint wasn't even about the hotel or staff at all. There was a large population of athletes there for a tournament and while having fun while away is great thing to see, they were out of hand in the pool slamming a ball into the water. They hit my son in the head and my husband took the ball to the face (they weren't the only ones who got hit). Again not the hotels fault but it killed our evening fun. Keep in mind this is a vacation resort and you will encounter sales rep who want to talk about time share opportunities. Read less

Was here for a week in June, it was fantastic, other then one night when the lady below me had ppl coming over every hour for loud sex. Pool was nice, room was clean and modern, shower was meh. Food was a little pricy for the size you got, but it was good quality.

If I could give less than a one rating I would , experience this year at Doubletree was one of the worst holidays I have ever experienced in the 30 years I have travelled. Before Covid I would have said that Doubletree International drive near Seaworld is the hotel to stay in, due to food , energy of staff and comfortability. But now it is different, rooms are poorly managed , bed sheets carrying infections due hygiene, dust levels , shower taps falling off walls , shower curtains require changing , carpets need cleaning, boarders in rooms need fixing- health and safety risk to anyone who is visually impaired, or blind. Managers who are patronising , not helpful and treat you like you are the problem. This was my main issue, when you go on a family trip with a young adult who is disabled and the hotel does not care about your needs and you have paid for a hotel to relax and enjoy whilst vacationing. Would not return back. Hotel needs renovation and the money that is flowing through its hands should be regenerated to make it the Hilton experience that you pay for, or is it just a no care attitude because you have to many hotels making to much money to care about the customers who are creating your revenue to stay open.
