Expecting to lose my reservation, I called the Hotel and talked to a manager named Sean, He could not have been nicer. He assured me he would cancel my reservation and rebook so that I would not be charged for the first night I would be missing. Total piece of mind when I really needed it. Upon checkin the next day I was greeted by a front desk employee named James. Another true gentleman. Was sorry to hear about about day before problem, searched for a room for early arrival and upgraded to an ocean view room on a higher floor. Great view and a great way to make up for our lost time. Everybody was very pleasant. Food choices, good. Nice pool , grounds and perfect location. If I really had to search to find a negative, the Rooftop bar. Beautiful view with firepits and very welcoming. My problem, I ordered a Martini. i expected a premium price because of location. Problem was they charged me $16 for the martini (ok) but $4 for the PREP to make it . $4 for a martini prep ? What ? Never heard such a rip. Ok, only complaint and MAYBE a minor one, but that was our last trip to that bar. . Otherwise a GREAT place to stay and a special shoutout to Sean and James. Two truly professional employees . There was a blonde woman with awful eyebrows off to the side who didn’t bother to say “i can help you right here”. All the employees were like deers in headlights. Not one took initiative to help us. We ended up just walking up to the blonde and were not greeted or anything. just “last name and id” I’m not sure if everyone was having an off day or what but i’ve never had this experience elsewhere. You would think with how expensive this place is, that the front desk agents would be trained to be better. They’re the first impression people get from your hotel. DO BETTER! Read less

But we definitely got the impression they staffed up extremely well, and everything went exceptionally well. Overall customer service throughout the hotel was amazing given the crowds. Professional, friendly, fast, helpful. The hotel was looking very good...the staff kept up with the high demand very well. Cabo restaurant was excellent. Beach resort prices, but the food was very good. Breakfast buffet was worth the $35pp. Dinner was tasty, wide range of items, large servings, very fast service. The only negative in the whole stay was a single incident at the Surf Hero Cafe. They switch to lunch items at noon. We ordered pizza right at noon...the first to order. 35 minutes later, two excellent pizzas came out. They are a pretty popular coffee shop, and the food is pretty good. But 35 minutes for the first pizza? We ordered breakfast there our last day, and it came out in a very reasonable time. Read less

I stayed with my family in two rooms for five nights. From the very first day we were plagued with: Equipment that did not work in the room, including, safe, telephone, television, plumbing. I stayed with my family in two rooms for five nights. From the very first day we were plagued with: Equipment that did not work in the room, including, safe, telephone, television, plumbing. Sadly, service was worse. Much worse. After 3 days finally got a working phone. TV issues never were resolved. I gave up on the TV days ago. When we needed a third room for two days due to a medical emergency, I had to pay premium rate even though another family member has health issues. But the cherry on this inedible sundae was the morning we tried to have breakfast. Again, terrible service and ridiculously expensive food. I ordered a side order of toast. Was it two pieces? No! Was it toasted ? No! Was it buttered ? No! I had enough of this place at that point. I guess my expectations for a side of toast at breakfast were just too high for this “4 star resort.” If it wasn’t for a manager, Jordyn France, it would be one star review. To sum it up, I’m done with this place. There’s got to be a better experience out there. Four star resort actually morphed into last resort. Read less
