Where is it

Directly across from the beach in the laid-back surfers' paradise of Huntington Beach, close to attractions and shopping, and within easy walking distance of the famous Huntington Beach Pier. It is the only hotel in Huntington Beach to have direct access to the beach for guests, via private pedestrian bridge.

We came for a mother-daughter mini-vacation, which couldn't have been more lovely! The check-in process was smooth and the front desk staff (Heather?) was so accommodating. The property itself is just beautiful and SO well maintained! The gardens are so pretty and the pool areas were clean and well-stocked with towels. The ability to borrow towels, chairs and an umbrella to take to the beach was great! And so easy to get to the beach by just walking over the Hyatt bridge. The mattress and pillows were out of this world comfortable and the rooms spotlessly cleaned by their wonderful staff! We had dinner and 2 breakfasts at their restaurant Watertable. The service was so great by Ricky for dinner, who made our dinner just a very memorable occasion! For breakfast we were greeted by Kaitlin, who is so warm and welcoming! We sat at the bar for breakfast and had the privilege of having Josh as our server. What a terrific guy - so congenial, upbeat and accommodating. He makes sure that everyone feels comfortable and well cared for when he is there! The whole staff really seemed to pull together as a team and that is a great reflection on Hyatt. I spent two nights at the Hyatt Huntington Beach and thought everything was great. Excellent location across PCH from the beach, with a footbridge to get you there. Pacific City mall, with stores and many nice restaurants is about a 10 minute walk away. Huntington Beach pier is a little further than that. The Hyatt refers to itself as a "resort" and that's an accurate description. My room was probably one of the furthest from the lobby, but had a balcony with direct ocean view. For $600 a night, the "oversized" room was pricey, but it was high season. There was a large sitting area with couch, arm chair, and table with 2 more chairs. The bathroom was spacious, but I was surprised to see a bathtub/shower combo (better for families maybe). Most hotels are ripping those out and adding large showers. The corridors are like a maze and you will do a ton of walking here! I really enjoyed the main pool, with plenty of lounge chairs. There's an adult-only set of hot tubs and a "water-park" for kids with slides and more pools. The servers by the pool were really friendly and quick with delivering your food. Breakfast at the Watertable restaurant was terrific. The french toast was amazing and at $18, was a decent value. The waffles weren't bad either. I spent some time at the fitness center, which had good quality equipment. There's a cool fishpond between the gym and spa. You can see that the hotel spends a lot of money on landscaping, as the grounds are beautiful. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would gladly return! Read less

Lovely property and so well-kept. All the staff were friendly and professional. Love that the beach is literally across the street and that there is a bridge that safely gets us across to the beach, not having to deal with any traffic or safety concerns. They even provide us with complimentary beach chairs, right before crossing the bridge so we don't have to lug in from our room or the front desk. Thank you for a great stay! Recently stayed at the Hyatt resort for few days with the family. Great location across the street from beach. Probably 10-15 minute walk to Main Street and Pacific plaza. Rooms are great. Property has nice resort feel. Everything you would expect from Hyatt. Would definitely recommend.
