Had a wonderful trip - also used Macarena with Photography Concierge for a beach photoshoot and had a great experience. Love all of our pictures and got them all same day in just a few hours. She was wonderful to work with and made it so fun for us!

We loved the photo shoot with the Photography Concierge - Macarena was a great photographer! We took pictures at the front and back of the hotel and on the beach and everything came out so well. And we got our pictures back so quickly which was great!

(Until 4pm), making it very difficult to get any drinks while enjoying the pool and beach. Also the indoor sushi bar said they don’t open until 4pm. There is 1 bartender at Quinns, and 1 cart person on the beach who were both overrun with customers. For the price tag, I would expect this resort to be staffed properly during a long weekend. It took over 30 minutes to get service. The service is not up to par for a JW. On a positive note, the spa provided a great couples massage and the beach is beautiful. Read less

We are here because my husband is attending a professional meeting. The hotel is beautiful and expensive as are so many giant chain hotels. Our room is lovely. Great shower that doesn't get water all over the floor. I found the private toilet a smart touch and appreciated the refillable bottles of shampoo, etc. to cut down on plastic. Service here is great. My favorite touch is the little balcony off each room allowing us to be outdoors and feel the breeze while enjoying the ocean view. The beach here is gorgeous: wide, white sand, thousands of shells. The hotel provides an impressive fire dancer on the beach at sunset. Did not try any of their restaurants other than the Kane beachside bar -- it was fine. The beds are a little too cushy for me and the pillows impossibly huge. But that's a matter of personal taste and no reflection on the quality our stay. I'm sure many people would consider that a plus. Giant LG flat screen, coffee maker and fridge but no safe in the room. All in all a very pleasant stay. Read less

If your standard does not exceed that of Fairfield Inn, or lower tier hotels, then this may be fine with you. Traveling for business/pleasure for 2 nights, we have checked out one night early, after a sequence of complete hospitality fiascos on behalf of the hotel, and drove back home. Not sure where to start with the issues here but some of main ones: 1. Both of our room cards stopped working randomly, we made 3 trips back and forth to the front desk, ultimately had to request to call building manager, who admitted issue with card system. 2. Our shower had tepid water, NO hot water even after running it for 40 min (This is after upgrading to the suite!), which was mentioned also by our neighbors on the same floor in the new building tower. The bed in the suites were low quality, and painful firm to sleep on, similar to bed quality you get at low range hotels. 3. Service at Tesoro, we were ignored for 45 min by the waiters, with restaurant half empty, and then treated as if we were trespassing by the waiters who need a training lesson in service and eye contact with their customers. 4. Tesoro food: where to begin. Vomit inducing steak dish that was frozen in the center, tasteless and drab remainder of items we tried. 5. Entrance staff: we pulled up in our car, and were ignored for a good 5 min by the valet staff, upon entering the building were yelled at by the desk staff on the left we were going in the wrong direction. No smile, no welcome, just hostile bothered gazes. 6. SCREAMING in the lobby and hotel grounds by loose mob of children, to the point of having to pause while talking to the desk attendants to get between the decibels. No attempt to control by parents or hotel staff. 7. Suite upgrades: I have several generated from my loyalty, while suites were available, we were told they were ineligible, as the suites were not part "Bonvoy". AT this point I have given up with the Bonvoy program, this is the 5th time this year at attempting to redeem those, with no avail. The cash charges still generate the points even thought they are not Bonvoy, make it make sense!. 8. The audacity to even attempt to charge us "cancellation fee", once we decided to pack and go after an hour sitting in the hallway unable to get into our room because of their hotel card system is absurd and reaches level of complete incompetence on the part of hotel management. The daytime manager did not bother to come to meets us once we decided to leave. This locale is run down, with faulty infrastructure even in the new tower, staffed by unwelcoming and untrained hotel staff with terrible food and service quality, you'd be insane to pay or want to stay here even for business. This experience has pushed the scale for me personally to move my many years of Marriott loyalty somewhere else. Will never step my foot at this place again, and advise as many people I know the same. Read less
