When we spoke to an operator on the phone they didn’t seem interested talking to me so I went down to the front desk to speak to a manager but they were occupied but I did speak to Daisha she didn’t let me down at all!! She was amazing and taking care of our stay. Explaining what’s open around idrive and telling us amazing restaurants to eat around here. She also let us extend our stay and letting us stay in the same room. I wanna say thank you for the housekeeping and to Daisha. See you guys next year for sure! Read less

Nice place, but the $$$$food

There Are A Few Good Things Here

This is a tough one to review because it wasn’t great but it wasn’t horrible either. I’ll start with the good. The hotel is centered around a large, indoor courtyard. It’s clean and doesn’t feel dated. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Elevators arrive quickly and it’s easy to find your room. I loved that there were bottle fillers available because we all know what a rip off bottled water is at a hotel. The food and drinks were very good and didn’t seem outrageously priced (knowing this is a hotel in a tourist area). Coffee shop is great— very efficient. Parking was easy in and easy out ( though expensive). If you are going to Sea World you will not beat the location— literally an easy walk across the street. Now the meh. Our room was very worn— even the finish on the bath tub was worn off. The carpet was beyond disgusting— worn out, dirty and dampish. I sure didn’t walk on it with bare feet. While the room seemed mostly clean, we did find a hair in the bathroom sink which happens, I guess, but is just yuck. The bedding was clean and while the bed wasn’t uncomfortable it also wasn’t as comfy as other Marriott properties. So all in all, it wasn’t an awful stay but didn’t live up to the 4+ star ratings shown on Trip Advisor. I’ll pass on this property in the future, purely because of the condition of the room. The people were lovely around the pool but the staff at the bar were so rude to me and my employee, when i went to the bar I asked for 5 drinks and he looked at me and laughed in my face and refused to serve me, I couldn't believe this and this stopped me from going to the bar for the rest of my holiday stay. I don't like to name and shame but the worker who served me my drinks was manuel. In my opinion and my employees opinion we will not be coming back for another stay here even though it was a lovely place but ruined by terrible staff Read less

I cannot thank the staff enough (especially Jordan, the wait staff at Boardwalk, the poolside DJ and the poolside manager) for being the nicest people around and accommodating us on this special weekend for us. The rooms were perfect, the food at Palms and Boardwalk were amazing and the extensive renovations they made inside and out really show. We have gone here for over 20 years now and they never fail to amaze us with their excellent in service! I highly recommend staying here (we will be back) and yes, the salmon at Boardwalk is to die for! The staff works hard here and it shows! Read less
